Is it designed to work with future pro versions assuming the camera placement is the same?

I'm seeing reports on the Oppo community that people have this feature on their device, as it came with the last udate. When i ask them to confirm, i get silence. So has anyone here had this feature added with the most recent update? If so, does this mean that O+ Connect no longer needs to be installed on the Apple device? I am on version 705. Global.
