Great visual on OLED no doubt enjoying every bit of the environment and scenery.... gameplay too early to tell.

OPEN BOX EXCELLENT PG27UCDM
I was browsing last night like usually and saw this. Is it a good deal? Because last time I saw it in fair condition but more expensive!

ASUS ROG Strix 32″ OLED XG32UCWG for $799, is it worth it at this price?
This looks like a solid deal at $799, but I don’t know much about the XG32UCWG. I’ve seen some good reviews — does anyone here own it?

How to tell WOLED generation.
I've heard a lot about WOLED generation mattering, so I was wondering how to tell, and are these good monitors to buy once their price drops a bit? (both are 500 usd)

Finally got the PG32UCDM3 at microcenter
Got this bad boy at Tustin microcenter and I cant wait to unbox and try it out!!!
Went from 34" ultra wide IPS to 4k OLED Asus PG32UCMD3 - missing the wider screen.
I was very excited to finally get my hands on one of these as I'd been putting it off for quite a while.
The picture and detail is gorgeous. I am not monitor expert, but I am very happy with that aspect. What I am surprised about and what has me second guessing my purchase is the disappointment I am feeling with the experience going from a 34" 32:9 curved (AW3418DW) which I really liked (3440 x 1440) to the 21:9 standard 4k monitor.
The difference in picture is night and day, but the taller and narrower perspective is leaving me wanting.
Has anyone else had this feeling when going from 32:9 back to a standard 21:9 monitor (no matter how good)? Forgive me if I have my ratios incorrect.
Is there an excellent (higher DPI) 1440p or UW 2160 monitor out there that would give this one a run for its money?
Cheers!

PG34WCDN up on newegg for backorder in the USA.
Release ETA is 4/15. $1299. https://www.newegg.com/asus-pg34wcdn-34-qd-oled-360-hz-rog-swift-qd-oled/p/N82E16824281410

Stuttering framerate
It started happening a couple of days ago out of the blue and I'm not sure why.. And it only starts stuttering whenever I open a game.
I also tried looking online if anyone had a similar issue but I couldn't find anything, at all.
I'm using a DP 1.4 but recently bought HDMI 2.1
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
3rd gen WOLED vs 4th gen Tandem OLED?
Seen a lot of posts of bad grey banding, seems like a lottery, is it better to go buy a 3rg gen woled than the new tandem? i cant go QD-OLED since im always with light on.
What would i be missing out if iwent with 3rd gen woled? Is grey banding still in 3rd gen woleds? but how much %lottery would i be doing, compared to the tandem?

LG G5 (2025) Power Cycling/Restarting during on screen explosions / rapid changes from dark to bright—seems to be a known defect for many years prior to G5
My video uploads of whats happening with the tv:
TV model: LG G5 OLED
Whenever there’s a bright explosion or a sudden flash my TV abruptly powers off, cycles, and reboots to the home screen. It’s reproducible and specifically happens during high-brightness transitions in games. Its usually during explosions like my example video of Cronos the New Dawn when you shoot the explosive tanks, but it also happened to me in KCD2 when henry was washing in the large wooden buckets he dips his head down in the water and the screen is dark and when he comes up to daylight its a rapid change of dark to bright and that triggered it to do a power cycle too, also in windows HDR calibration when the screen is dark and you go to the white screen quickly again a change from dark to bright and it power cycles the TV, this doesn't happen every time, but it happens well often enough to be extremely annoyoing and not at all acceptable for a flagship tv, (it wouldnt be acceptable for a $100 tv either IMO). Anyone else having this same or similar issue on ANY LG tv? I'd love to hear about it. Thanks

MSI monitor settings
Hi Guys,
Just got my first oled monitor. I got the MSI MAG 321UP QD-OLED - 4K UHD Gaming Monitor. I mainly play shooters but wondering what kinda settings u guys use on the monitor. Currently using FPS mode.
240hz+ 4k vs 500hz+ 1440 for 5090?
Hi all,
I am getting a 5090 + 9850x3d rig delivered to me next friday which I am stoked for. With this, I am looking to upgrade to an oled monitor from my AW2723DF (1440p 280 hz fast IPS).
I will be doing both work tasks and gaming on the monitor. The main games I play are FPS extraction shooters (Marathon, Arc Raiders, Tarkov) and I do that somewhat competitively where I obviously prefer a fast monitor with a high refresh rate.
On the 1440p side, I have been looking at PG27AQWP-W (1440p 540Hz/720p 720Hz) which is currently available in my country. I would probably never use the 720p version here (because 720p).
On the 4k side, I have been eyeing the PG27UCWM (4k 240Hz/FHD 480 Hz) which is launching later this summer. For this one, I feel like the FHD 480Hz mode could come into play when playing more competitive titles where those frames could be pushed.
I have seen a lot of people argue that the 5090 was "made for 4k" and thus maybe I am gimping myself a bit by not getting one. Maybe I am missing some other options here that are either launched already or coming up during 2026. The ideal monitor would probably be a 5k/1440p monitor where 5k would be used for productivity/scinematic titles and the 1440p mode for cometitive titles. Here there is the UltraGear 27GM950B coming out this year which is a mini LED (bummer?).
All tips appreciated. Thanks in advance!
My first 2 weeks with a OLED as my primary gaming display - mixed feelings
Up front: I tired DP and HDMI. I see no difference. 10 bit.
I have now spent about 2 weeks (124 hours according to smart things) with my Samsung G95SD as my primary gaming display. Its by far not my first OLED panel and also not the first OLED panel I used for my PC.
My feelings are mixed and not because of the G95SD, but because I can not take advantage of anything OLED offers over my previous mini LED VA panel.
The true black levels? None of my games are pitch black with white spots in them. They are mostly bright, so the true blacks are never a thing that happen. Same for when I watch videos on it. Most stuff I watch is filmed under studio lighting, so its bright. Even a black shirt will not be black.
I have mirrored my PCs output to both my Neo G9 and this one and had the game run on both. With and without HDR, various settings etc etc. The Neo G9 sometimes looked a bit better, since some games simply look better on panel thats brighter overall. But the difference was marginal.
What I take from this is that any good quality panel already had good enough black levels for 99.9% of regular content that isnt white on black in a dark room.
And no, I will not buy different games just because they look better on an OLED panel. I play games I enjoy to play, not because they have infinite contrast ratios and good HDR.
Speaking of brightness: Its not a problem. I run my Neo G9 usually between 20% and 25% and have now dropped this to 13% to match the 15-20% auto brightness of the G95SD. Its bright enough at these levels for me. My room is not very well lit during day times.
The colors...oh god the colors were so bad out of the box. Both with and without HDR the image was green ish and would not display pinks very well. Sunrises and sunsets were red and yellow-green. I had to fiddle with the different settings A LOT to get it to where it looks like my calibrated pantone display (which was matched nearly perfectly by my Neo G9 already).
It still is not perfect (I have to decide between a slight pink hue or a slight green hue), but for gaming it very much is as close as I need it to be.
The HDR: It is worlds ahead of my Neo G9. I did not expect that to happen. Its good enough that I just leave the windows HDR enabled and then adjust stuff in non HDR games when needed. However, keep in mind that I do not use the windows explorer on this panel. I did once, it looks horrible, I stopped doing that. SDR games look better in HDR mode on this than other displays. They look a tiny bit worse, but I do not care.
Though the thing is...only one game I play actually supports HDR so yet another thing I can not take advantage of. That one game is Sea of Thieves and the G95SD is one of the displays that do not work well with the game. Its just dark and green. But again, a thing I could sort of fix...ish...its a game issue, well documented, not an OLED problem.
The heat: Yes it uses much more power and there is one hot spot on it (which I cool with a fan thats on my desk anyways)...but it is not as much of a problem as I thought it would be.
Still, at about 17% brightness with the auto adjustment turned on it uses twice the power of my VA G9 while being dimmer. A step backwards in my opinion, but not a deal breaker.
It does not try to melt my face like the 2021 G9s tried to do.
The response times...I do not see a difference between this and the Neo G9 from 2023. According to reviews, its panel was already very VERY fast, so I guess the 2.97 ms difference is not a thing I can see. I tried Killing Floor 2, which I can run at a locked 240 fps on it. I see ABSOLUTELY NO difference. Not even with a super slow motion video.
The coating: Some people complained about it, but I like it. No reflections at all, unlike my LG C2 or my ViewSonic VP16 OLED. Also no dirt or uniformity issues.
The speakers: They are okay for spoken word content. They are not good, but better than the usual monitor speakers. Certainly better than the LG C2 stock speakers. I am confused that the EQ option is disabled.
The ports: Worse and yet better than the VA G9 series. Micro HDMI...really?
But then the ports are easily accessible and it has USB-C with 10 gig now. Also firmware updates via wifi, which is a huge step up over the USB stick lottery on the older panels.
The UI: Its not great...but it works, has many options and you can avoid the smart menu.
Overall?
Eh. I do not want to use it for anything but gaming or the occasional video, cuz I got...burned (hah)...by burn in on OLED a lot in the past years.
So Im pretty much stuck with a massive screen I can not use for web browsing or my day job (LOTS of static content). But I knew that. It has been discussed a billion times.
It is much cheaper than the mini LED G9s used to be and I certainly looks better than the edge lit G9s while not costing THAT much more (200€ more).
It weighs a little less, its stand takes up less space, it has a remote...I am happy owning it, but I am not as blown away by OLED for gaming as most people seem to be.
Maybe because I came from a REALLY good non OLED, so the differences are small.
Those are most of my thoughts about this thing after 2 weeks.

oil stain or pressure mark?
i tried wiping this gently with a microfiber but it only seemed to make it worse. i just got this monitor yesterday is this worth returning? no clue what this stain is
PG32UCDM3 vs PG34WCDN
Hey all,
I'm looking to upgrade my 27" 1440p IPS monitor. The PG32UCDM3 ticks all my boxes: 4K, 32", and, at least according to reviews, a great picture. However, it seems that all the 4K 32" models still use fourth-generation QD-OLED technology.
I actually prefer 16:9, but the new ultrawide 34" models already use the fifth generation QD-OLED panels with V-shaped pixel layout. Therefore, I also took a closer look at the PG34WCDN.
Both new monitors appear to be equipped with 'BlackShield'. However, since I occasionally use the monitor in my home office, good text readability is important to me.
Do you think it's worth getting the 34" ultrawide with the new pixel layout, or is the 32" 4K with the old pixel layout good enough for easy text reading?
Unfortunately, 32" 4K monitors with fifth generation QD-Oled do not seem to be planned for the time being.
Thanks for your input!
