Tandem woled panel

Kinda new to this stuff but recently got the feb batch xg27aqwmg and did 90 and 95 greyscale test, updated firmware and like 5 total pixel cleans with 5 hours of use, is it good? Any suggestions for this issue particularly or just general suggestions for gaming on oled after switching from a qd ips?

This thing is amazing for 175 bucks..

Got the Costco dell monitor. 4k 120hz 32 inch QD-OLED.

WOLED Feb 2026 in short

The banding in grey scenes has been reduced enough to not really be a major issue anymore (you might need to pixel clean once first)

DSE is still quite noticeable on grey scenes, you will never again see just the plain colour grey, it always looks like some kind of jpeg-y thing.

Overall I'd say it's a worthy competitor for QD if you're looking at 1440p monitors, neither is quite perfect, so pick your poison or keep being patient.

How bad is this? Tandem OLED

Got this XG27AQWMG recently. With all the stories out there about tandem panel lotteries, I wanted to know know where I stand

Update: I updated the firmware and pixel cleaned 4 times. I uploaded a pic in a comment. It looks a lot better. Thank you to everyone who replied!

42" Samsung S90H or 42" LG C6

I'm trying to decide which one to try next and share my thoughts. A lot of people assumed I'm paid by LG after my 48" C6 review - but I'm not and this will be with my own money.

The 48" C6/Tandem OLED firmware is a shitshow for gaming and I've listed my 48" C6 for sale. So I'm hopeful for the Evo OLED C6 and can't find any sources or reviews talking about the issues. Or do I try Samsung out again - I saw the matte coating in person yesterday and they've really nailed clarity over diffusion. I'll always prefer glossy but with how light the matte coating is it's not a dealbreaker for me. The only thing I'm concerned about is Samsung locking down pixel shift on their monitors, I'd hate to buy a TV and find out I can't turn it off. I guess I can ask to check in-store.

Does anyone have one of these yet as the oven only opened on these days ago?

Wich one?

Hi, I want to buy my first OLED monitor, but honestly I can’t decide between these two below. Does anyone have a recommendation on which one I should choose?

Tell me the right OLED to buy

Looking to buy a 27 inch OLED, coming from a VA panel. Give me your best recommendation.

Considering both 2k & 4K options.

is this normal on an OLED panel?

hi, thinking of grabbing this OLED panel, just not sure if this “fingerprint” kind of look is normal for it or not? it could also be due to the camera the photo was taken with, just want to make sure. i will do many pixel cleans if i do get it regardless. thanks!

The holy grail of 27" WQHD OLED Monitor? Take a look at MSI 271QPX32

I am very excited for the release of this QD-OLED monitor from MSI, which focuses on fixing the general issues of OLED monitors: gray banding and textured pixels in dark colors (DSE). Will Samsung deliver on this promise and become the holy grail for most Tandem-OLED owners?

Entering the OLED club

So I finally pulled the trigger...LG 27GX704A!

Glossy, W-oled, 240hz, 2k... All the boxes ticked!✨⚛️

Coming from a VA mini-led TV, I suspect it will be a nice upgrade... People say going OLED is like going 4k. My TV is nice, but damn that Black smearing🫠🫠🫠🫠 I am CURSED with owning VAs for price-performance so far.

Pray for me, brothers! It should arrive around June 10th! I'm so excited🦅

Anyone running this model? I heard good things from some reviews I've seen.

Samsung S90f 77 or LG C5 77 ?

Looking at purchasing an OLED and upgrading from my 2018 Samsung QLED Q65.

Brightness not an option as I have blinds in my living room. Which is the better TV for picture quality? Is not having Dolby Vision that noticeable? PS5, Sports, Movies

LG C2 42" OLED + Decklink MiniMonitor 4K + Banding

Hi all,

I want to preface that I'm not a professional colorist, but I really don't know where to go for advice / feedback at this point.

I'm using the LG C2 42" OLED connected to my Mac Studio the Blackmagic Decklink MiniMonitor 4K in a Thunderbolt PCIe box. I got this back in 2022 to use as a poor-man's reference monitor.

I calibrated it with Calman Home. Maybe a year or so after I started using it, I realized that the monitor had quite a bit of banding. I first noticed it when grading a shot of a sunset from a wedding. I thought it was my footage at first. I checked it on my MacBook M1 Pro, and LG IPS screen, and no banding was present.

I honestly had to ignore it. I didn't have the time to troubleshoot. Here we are, 4 years later and it's really starting to bother me.

Here are the things I've done that make my believe it's a panel issue and nothing to do with my Resolve / Decklink or HDMI settings.

I created a short video using the grayscale gradient in Resolve. The image just pans left to right. I exported it as an H265 10bit file, and confirmed no banding on the export with my IPS and MacBook Pro (XDR Mini LED). I loaded that onto a USB stick, and put it into the TV. The banding is very apparent on the TV.

I've done all of the normal things: Pixel Cleaning multiple times, sharpness to 0, all processing off, HDMI Deep Color on etc. I even reset the entire TV to make sure my calibration LUT from Calman Home wasn't wonky.

My question is...Has anyone else experience this, and is it just the way it is? Did I get a bad draw in the panel lottery and should I just move on? Is there anything else you can think of that I haven't tried?

Comparison images: https://imgur.com/a/RVwpsM0

Photos obviously make it look worse than it is, but you get the idea.

Thanks!

MSI PRO MAX 271UPX12G listed with 4K QD-OLED, USB-C and $649 US price - VideoCardz.com

Finally a well priced 4k 27in QDOLED panel at 120hz with the new black shield for better light handling and scratch resistance. Too bad the USBC PD is only 15W.

1440P OLED, wanting to get a 32" 4K

Hi all!

I currently have a 1440p 360hz OLED, But only really use the 240hz mode, because I can very rarely hit 360hz. I have a 4080 Super and want to know if jumping up to 4k will be the right move for me. I mostly nowadays play singleplayer games, though I do find multiplayer shooters fun from time to time. I'm not a super "it must be super high framerates!" player, but I'm not too happy if I can't have it on high settings with it getting ~100+ FPS, singleplayer games I'm more lenient on.

The current one I have is a Philips Evnia 27M2N8500! Bought it close to when it released, approximately a month or so after? 8233 hours logged, zero visible burn-in as far as I can tell. So far, brilliant! Just want to know if it's worth getting a new 4K one or if I should hold off. Any advice is appreciated!

I'm in the UK so worth going there. I'm wanting something with at least 120hz capabilities, and ideally as cheap as possible for the value. I'd rather spend £200 more on something that looks way better and won't burn-in after 200 hours.

Are OLEDS that fragile?

I keep seeing posts about OLED monitors getting problems specially after cleaning, my current monitors have been with me for years and I'm pretty sure I could punch them, meanwhile I have to do a whole ritual to clean an OLED monitor and still people are getting issues because their destiled water wasn't pure enough? It scares me a bit to spend so much money on something might get fucked if my dog pushes his nose against it.
