Big 27" OLED decision — need help choosing

Hey guys, I’m planning to upgrade from my current 24-inch IPS monitor to a 27-inch OLED, and I basically have two decisions to make.

Current setup: Laptop with i7 11th gen, 16GB RAM, RTX 3070 8GB.

Usage: Mostly office/coding work, movies/TV series, and single-player story games. I don’t really play competitive FPS games.

  1. 1440p OLED vs 4K OLED I was initially confused between 27-inch 1440p OLED and 27-inch 4K OLED. Since my usage is more productivity/media/single-player games rather than competitive gaming, I’m leaning toward 4K for sharper text and better media experience. Does that make sense with my laptop specs?

  2. Which 27-inch 4K OLED should I buy? Options I’m considering:

  • Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 — leaning toward this because of the glare-free coating. Is it actually easier on the eyes for long coding/office sessions, or does it reduce image quality too much?
  • Alienware AW2725D / AW2725Q — heard good things about Alienware’s warranty/support and glossy OLED image quality.
  • Lenovo Legion Pro 27UD-10
  • MSI — not considering currently because the 27-inch 4K model doesn’t seem available here.
