Is it wrong to heal like this ??

(It was meant to be pierced that low because my piercer said my sweet spot was “lower than normal” which he also stated wasn’t a bad thing) I’ve cleaned it everyday and had no problems with it, it don’t hurt when piercing it and didn’t bleed, I’ve had it for 12 days and I’m worried it won’t every drop straight. HELP ME PLEASE 🙏🏻😀

How's This?

So, I recently got a nose pin and my mother also wants one now. Please help me, which one should I surprise her with on her 53rd birthday?

P.S. (2nd piece is not that big, it's just looking in the picture)

Cannot escape irritation bumps.

I have had my nose piercing for 6-7 months now. I wanted to change it to a hoop, however I have tried twice now and each time I get an irritation bump on the top of the piercing site. My nose hoop isn’t snug to my nose, I told my piercer I would like to put a hoop in in the future so I assumed it’s pierced for it. I’m just confused why this keeps happening especially because I do not experience any pain or discomfort while having my hoop in but I still get irritation bumps within days. I have my septum pierced and use the same company for jewelry across the board and I’ve never had any issues. Really at a lost right now looking for guidance.

Placement

Looking for opinions on the placement of my new nose piercing. It was done professionally but I feel it sits too far back? I was open to a double piercing on this side in the first place but is this bad placement or just a good set up for a second? Thanks!

Bump / embedding?

3 week old nose piercing. Reputable piercer, flat back titanium labret. Gently washing twice a day with neilmed spray, patting dry. Picture taken middle of the day, ie far from cleaning.

I struggle healing piercings - waited until I was 40 before feeling brave enough to heal one in the centre of my face….and it has not disappointed me with its trickiness!

There has always been a small bump / swelling around the piercing, but I got a cold at the weekend and it’s really blown up and to me looks a little like the piercing is embedding? Can book an emergency appt with the piercer if it needs changing.

I was never expecting an easy heal, but does this look concerning (beyond what you could expect for someone who heals slowly, and has been impacted by a snotty cold)

What are these called?

I know the first pic is a nose ring but how do I look up just that style? Is the second even a nose ring? Was given it by a friend

Thoughts? Embedding or just nesting?

Got my nostril pierced on March 21st. Piercer used a corkscrew that kept moving around. My daughter snagged it twice and I got an irritation bump so I decided to switch to a flat back. When I did the irritation bump kind of popped, but now I have almost a hole surrounding the stud on top. It doesn’t seem like the bar is too short, because I have room to push the stud up if that makes sense. Should I try to switch the little diamond on top to a larger size so it’s not sitting in the hole or leave it alone?

I’m cleaning it twice a day with saline wound wash and other than that just leaving it alone now that it’s not constantly spinning around. Currently the stud in there is implant grade titanium, not sure what the initial corkscrew material was.

Allergy season 🙃

I just got both nostrils done a few days ago. I did not even think about allergy season. I am so congested and unable to blow my nose. I've been trying to use q tips but the labrets are in the way. What's the best way to deal with nasal congestion, legit boogies (not crusties), while my new piercings heal?

Does this look good or not?

Yall I feel like my piercing would have looked so much better if it was a bit lower down. It feels way too high compared to other ones I’ve seen, especially since I have a bigger nose. End goal is also to get a hoop since I’m not super crazy about the stud. I’m not sure if I’m just being dramatic or if I’m just not used to seeing a piercing on my face. Please be honest with me and let me know your opinion or if there’s anything I can do :/

Is this placement okay?

Does this placement look good or is it too high? I’ve always wanted a hoop but I think I did it too high up. 😭

Disclaimer: I did it myself with a kit from Amazon, yes Ik. Do not recommend.

Corkscrew coming out in sleep when sick

So I’m currently fighting a cold and my nose keeps getting blocked then unblocked. My piercing is currently 9 weeks old and I woke up last night to it half out due to my nose being thicker on one side as if was thicker on the side that was blocked (if that makes sense)

Is that normal?

Has it happened to others?

I have heard it happening to people with a L bar in but never a corkscrew. I

have changed it a few times myself (not changing it anymore til it’s healed better) so putting it back in, in my sleep was fine but it was unexpected and I’m now worried that anytime I’m sick (coming into winter) it could fall out in my sleep.

Is my nose piercing to close to the top of my nose

Hi, I just got my first nostril piercing on Saturday! I went to an APP shop. And just curious. I have pretty flat nose and I went off my piercers recommendation on placement. I want a hoop eventually. I like the placement every angle except from when you see it on the side profile. I can’t tell if it is just cause my nose is flat from that angle.

In the 3rd picture. The piercing suggest doing in the placement due to where my nostril dips right there. So I can have a smaller diameter hoop. Thanks in advance.

Nose piercing bump

What do I do? I’ve been cleaning it by spraying the saline solution on and around it and then drying it with tissues and doing all that I can to not irritate it. I got the piercing March 7th. My prom is next weekend and I would really like it to be gone or significantly changed in size.

Massive nose piercing bump

I got my nose pierced in December and this bump started appearing around January and it keeps shrinking and growing back….its been this big for about a month now. I don’t wanna take it out idk what to do! Pls help. Also I put a chili stem in my nose piercing because people used to use that method to help it heal. It actually worked at first and the bump shrank a lot, but after I accidentally hit it, it’s been really swollen again for the past month.

will my nose piercing get infected after i put it back in without handwashing after it fell out?

this was literally like 5 minutes ago but i'm such an anxious person that i genuinely will not be able to sleep until i post this and hopefully get some advice in the morning. i was pretty much as half asleep as a person can get. i scratched my nose and my piercing (L bar - my piercer didn't have any others so I just accepted it since I thought I'd be fine) fell out all the way. took me a second to realise but when i did i ran to the bathroom even though i quite literally could not see where i was going because, yknow, half asleep. because i was half asleep (the sheer terror has now woken me up) i was so focused on getting it back in before it closed up that i forgot to wash my hands. i'm planning on going back to my piercer and seeing if they can change my jewellery to one with a flatback or something, but i can't do that if my nose gets infected. just about to clean it with saline to hopefully prevent that. how cooked am i? 😭

ACTUAL healing times???

Can everyone please tell me how long it actually took for them to be able to change their nose stud to a hoop?

I know everyone’s bodies are different but I was told 4 months by the piercer, then 3-4 by some women who is a piercer online, then people ln other forums are saying a year!

It’s just such a broad spectrum of time, it would be good to get a general consensus.

I had my pigtail changed to a flat neck by a professional at 7 weeks, then I temporarily changed it to a ring for a few days at 8 weeks, it felt fine just a bit tender so I have changed it back to a pigtail and am going to leave it at that for a few more months. Currently at 9 weeks post pierce it’s been the most agonising wait ever as an impatient person.
