140lbs 27 year old female. Started becuase I gained some weight after quitting nicotine. Been on the microdose program - taking my third injection today and moving up to 0.1mg from 0.05mg. The last two weeks on 0.05 I have noticed almost nothing. I haven’t lost any weight. Will it get easier and I will be less hungry on the 0.1? Should it be working by

Many Technical Issues and Poor Customer Service

I used Noom for a long period of time and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience overall. The app constantly had technical issues — glitches, syncing problems, features not working properly, and repeated frustrations that were never fully resolved.

Customer service was equally disappointing. Responses were slow, generic, and often did not address the actual problem. For a paid program, I expected far better support and a more reliable app experience.

While the behavioral approach behind Noom may help some people, the ongoing technical problems and poor customer service made the program frustrating to use.

Maybe unpopular: Noom was working well for me (just the app, not doing the meds) but I cancelled it. I got from 232 down to 199, my final goal is 180.

My only complaint was the price.

I’m well versed in tech and AI so I thought if the psychology portion was publicly available knowledge I can build my own chat for this. It is and it turned out to be easy.

Built it with Claude and it works the same. Same lessons, same macro tracking. It offers recipes and tips. It tracks other things I want to track that Noom won’t (e.g. it’s infinitely customizable, for example it also tracks all my workouts and graphs my intake, workouts and weight all together, as one example). And I can just dictate what I ate to it and it will log it, it asks me questions if it’s unsure, etc.

Not a plug for Claude I’m sure other AIs can do this also. Working in tech I have deployed several LLMs and this would be easy for all of them. Claude Pro is $20 / month and obviously I also use it for way more than this weight loss and exercise tracking chat. in my view much better value than Noom app.

Just my experience thought I would share.

I've been microdosing compounded semaglutide through Noom's microdosing program since October 2025. I started at .2 mg and have worked my way up to .6 mg, which is the max for this program. My weight loss was consistent at .5-1 lb a week until March 2026, when I plateaued at 144. Since then I've started oral minoxidil (a very small dose for hair loss, it's working great!!) and have gained maybe 1-2 pounds of water weight. Most days I weigh in around 146. Despite maxing out my dose, my weight will not budge.

  • Height: 5'6"
  • Starting weight (Oct 2025): 156 lbs
  • Current weight: 146 lbs
  • Goal weight: 135 lbs
  • Length of plateau: Almost 8 weeks

My eating habits have stayed the same (in terms of what I eat), and I've shifted calories down to try to break through the plateau, but nothing. If anything, I worry I'm not eating enough now for my activity level. At the beginning, when I was taking only .3 or .4 mg, I was eating 2-3 "cheat" meals a week and having a drink or two on the weekends and still losing, and now I'm back to being super strict 7 days a week. I strength train 4x a week and have for many years, so I don't think it's the case of building muscle but losing fat, so the scale doesn't change. My pants fit very much like I would expect them to at 146 and I'm not losing any inches.

I don't love the idea of increasing my dose (I don't have any side effects except for the hair loss, it's just expensive!) but I will if needed. I'm open to changing providers if they have a better price for increased dosages. Also open to changing meds.

If anyone else has faced a long plateau at this stage, I'd love to hear if/how you overcame it!

Does it really help you lost weight faster if you stick closer to your weight loss zone?

The AI assistant told me today I'm consistently coming in under my weight loss zone, and said I might lose weight more quickly if I eat a little more protein and whole grains.

Has this been anyone's experience? I would say I'm not going to bed stuffed, but I also don't feel insanely hungry. I could eat a little more, but I'm also trying to eat mindfully and not too much.

Would love to hear your experience on this! I've been on Noom for 2 weeks and have lost 8 lbs. Trying to lose 15-20.

Side effects on microdose? Experiences?

I just started my journey yesterday by injecting 8 units which I think is .2mg the first two weeks and then increasing to 12 over the new few weeks. Anyway, I didn’t think I’d be this sensitive to it seeing how others on here have had not experienced any side effects on such a low dosage. I actually can’t even imagine being on the full dose of glp.

Since yesterday I’ve had a constant headache which feels like a little buzz in my head, very little nausea accompanied by acid reflux after eating, and I definitely was not able to properly go #2 today. I know it’s way too early to say and I could probably just ask my doctor but did anyone experience any symptoms the first two days?

Today I had breakfast of cottage cheese and apples/walnuts and then didn’t eat anything until dinner time which is pretty normal for me (I hardly ever eat 3x a day), and then I had salad with chicken wings and a Ollipop and literally felt so bloated even though i think it was barely any food. The fullness though didn’t feel normal, it felt like someone opened up my stomach and put a ton of bricks. Anyway, I’m really hoping the other symptoms go away soon cus this headache is not fun at all.

Would love you hear about yalls experience!! And if you ended up getting anti nausea pills from your doc?

I just took my first 1mg shot on Friday, so far I’m not really feeling anything different. My appetite is the same, I’m finding it a bit easier to stay within my calorie deficit but I could definitely eat more if I let myself. I was talking to someone else who’s on a different glp-1 program and they said 1mg is a really low starting dose and not enough to make a difference. I am intending to up my dose to 2mg on the third week, but she made me feel like I was wasting my money on 1mg. What are other people’s experiences with this? It’s what I was prescribed to do when I signed up so I don’t know if everyone is started on 1mg or not.

Are there any hidden cost or fees? It seems like a great place to get the glp dual agonist. First month 149 then a 12 week supply for 299? Seems great, what’s the catch if there is one?

Hi! I just started Noom Med end of April hoping to get to a fitness goal by end of July, start of August.

Trial price $79 for Compounded Semaglutide,
Then the 3 Month upfront cost is $747 for my dosage.

After attempting to cancel, citing the reason as financial, they offered spreading out the payments every 4 weeks, then rejecting that triggered the new upfront pricing.

Just thought I’d share it with the whole class. I hope this helps!
