Lassen National Park Manzanita Lake, CA

I've been working on my photography skills by visiting places around my area that are drivable so I can learn what a good photo is and is not.

Feeling solid about this photo, the morning was cold, but well worth it.

What would you change in the edit?

Solo traveling as young female

As the title states, I’m solo traveling to mt rainier from TX in late May/early June. I’m flying into Seattle-Tacoma airport and have booked an air bnb in Ashford. The air bnb I booked has an EV charger onsite, so I’m tempted to rent an electric vehicle like a Tesla. However, I’m very nervous about running out of battery on the mountain due to the steep inclines and lack of charging stations. Should I just rent a hybrid vehicle instead? Also, I’m going to be in Washington for three days. What itinerary should I use to get the best hike out of my three days? Like what park entrance should I use, what time should I leave Ashford, etc. any advice helps!! Thank you!!

El Capitan, Guadalupe NP; Spring Break 2026

This place was really cool. Nice hikes here with the family.

My parents have never really hiked. Invited them to Utah and took them to the Narrows in Zion National Park.

I’m not sure they will ever top this back on the east coast.

Mammoth Cave National Park

Sharing some love for Mammoth after my mid-May solo trip. Some highlights include: Grand Avenue Tour (4 miles, 4 hours), Green River Ferry (although it was closed due to low water), a horseback trail ride, River Styx trail springs, Sand Cave (RIP Floyd Collins), and a few hikes! Having the option to be in/near caves to stay cool when the weather outside is 90 and sunny is incredible!

Two days roadtrip to Zion and Grand Canyon national parks

My partner and are going to Las Vegas in June and we would like to visit the Grand Canyon and some nearby national parks.

Our initial plan is:

Day 1: Leave Las Vegas early by car, heading to Page with a stop at Zion National Park. Spend the night in Page.

Day 2: Leave Page early for the Grand Canyon South Rim. Explore and hike as much as possible, then drive back to Las Vegas for the night.

The question is: is this doable? ls the schedule too tight? Should we prioritize something differently? This is our first trip to the US, and we want to make the most of our time, even if it's limited. Our main goal for this road trip is the Grand Canyon, everything else is a bonus.

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

How many of you have visited all of the Parks/Monuments/etc. in your home state? (Or state you currently live in.)

Still need to visit these sites and Jurassic Monument. Pretty sure I did Cedar Breaks and Natural Bridges as a kid but I don’t remember so doesn’t count.
