WHAT RESEARCH DO Y'ALL REALLY DO?

hello, this might sound like a silly sa question, but it'll help me gain more perspective. What do y'all do in research exactly in day to day life; like what actions are actually involved in the labs and and the papers?

Hello seniors,

I am 18F PCB GENERAL and will be appearing for NEST 2026 as my first attempt, I really want to get into NISER Bhubaneswar/UM DAE CEBS Mumbai in a BS-MS course for Biology this year and need guidance for the last 1 month left for the exam.

I have done the NCERT for all 3, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and will not be attempting Mathematics in my exam.

I have also downloaded the PYQs of the last 5 years of NEST exam and will be doing them this month.

Please tell about the level and difficulty as compared to other entrance exams, question pattern, question type, cutoff, questions I should attempt etc. for the exam and if possible, subjectwise.

I don't know if there is any separate platform for attempting it's mock tests or any other books that I should practice apart from NCERT or any youtube channel's series or playlist that I should use to revise my syllabus in these last 30 days.

I really want to crack the exam and need help from you all who have already cleared it and are pursuing their desired courses in the institutions!

I would also appreciate if you guys do something for the NEST aspirants in this sub, as right now we all are in need of your experiences the most!

Looking forward for your help!

Hi everyone! I’m currently preparing for both the NEST and IAT exams. I have a PCB background, so I’m looking for some guidance on how to navigate the specific challenges of these papers. I’d love to get some advice from seniors who have successfully cleared them.

  1. Math Strategy: Since I don't have math, which high-weightage, "doable" chapters should I target to maximize my score without getting bogged down? And from which YouTube channels should I study from

  2. I understand IAT/NEST questions are highly conceptual. How did you balance this type of preparation with standard board/NEET-level studying?

  3. Did you use NEET-level Biology/Chemistry, or is it essential to switch to NCERT Exemplar/Advanced resources? For Physics, did you find JEE Main PYQs helpful, or is the IAT/NEST logic completely different?"

  4. "Is there any specific 'hidden gem' resource (like a specific YouTube playlist or book) that helped

Any insights, tips, or brutal truths regarding the competition and difficulty level would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time!

How would you suggest I go on about preparing for NEST in the last 30 days? Being a 2nd time dropper for NEET, I know the basics but still need to build on a lot of concepts. I know serious aspirants have been preparing for this exam for years and it's stupid to even think of clearing an exam of this difficulty level in such less time, but i..can't help it :[. So yeah...please help a delusional bi+@h out.
