I just took the NCLEX under the new April 2026 test plan and my exam shut off at 85 questions 😭

Is stopping at 85 a good sign or a bad sign with the new format?

I didn’t feel like the questions were getting harder and honestly felt like I was guessing on a lot of them.

For those who tested recently under the updated test plan—what was your experience? Did you pass or fail at 85?

I’m really anxious right now and would appreciate any insight 🙏

First Time NCLEX Test Taker

I graduated December and have been studying since early February. Now, I’m about 2 days out from my exam. I feel as though my chances for passing are in my favor considering I performed nicely during school and I have spent adequate time studying post-grad with minimal external stressors! I don’t wanna jinx myself lol. But I’m wondering if anyone has any last minute tips or things they wished they did before taking their NCLEX :) thanks in advance!

P.s. I’ve already watched Mark K, Dr Sharon, and I’ve practiced with UWorld a bunch! Maybe I should review mark k again??? Also, I am going for my RN!

Med surg and pharmacology notes

This is kind of a long shot, but I graduated last year and am preparing for the boards. My computer crashed and I lost all of my notes/ power points. I’ve been using Uworld and have been doing alright, but because some time has passed I fear I’ve had some knowledge decay. Would anybody possibly be willing to share their med surg and pharmacology notes/ PowerPoints? If not, maybe point me in the right direction of where I can regain content. Anything helps! Thanks :)

Does Texas BON requires local prc license for foreign BSN graduate from Philippines?

Does Texas BON accepts Filipino nurses without prc local license? I'm planning to take NCLEX first this year since I'll be taking NLE next year for personal reasons. Responses are appreciated.

Using ChatGPT For Patient Interactions

I have have failed the NCLEX 3 times and will be taking it for the fourth early May. When I pass, am I able to use ChatGPT for patient interactions on a day to day basis if I don't know something while I'm working? Does anyone else do this? I'm thinking of applying to surgical nurse positions.

Let's practice clinical reasoning together — what's your first nursing action? 🧠

Seeing a lot of posts about struggling with prioritization questions so I wanted to try something different.

Here's a scenario. Reply with what you would do FIRST and why — not just the answer, the reasoning behind it.

You're caring for a 72-year-old male, 2 days post-op from hip replacement. He calls out saying he feels short of breath. You walk in and find:

RR 28, labored

O2 sat 89% on room air

HR 118, BP 142/88

He's anxious and restless

Left calf is swollen and tender

What's your first action and what clinical reasoning got you there?
