Hi guys,

Getting into Metin2 again after many years. Looking for an oldschool experience with QoL improvements. Already did my research and both look promising. Obviously nobody can know if any of them are gonna go down early, but I am just planning to play casually anyway.

I have tried MT2009 and will try Projekt Hard tomorrow. This goes out to people that have tried both... which one did you prefer and why? MT2009 has their player numbers online (who knows how real they are...), but how populated is Projekt Hard in comparison?

Im starting in Ruby, and i want to know which is the best class to create, i see a lot of ninjas and i kind of like it, but should my first char be a ninja? Can i farm with a ninja?

It would be better to start with a sura or a war?

Eventually I'll have several characters to farm with, but I'd like to know which class I should choose as my main.

I need opinions because im a litle bit confused.

I play on europe server and im currently a level 38 body warrior, i have the biologist chaegirab's quest where i need to bring him 10 orc teeth

The problem is that i have been spam killing black orcs and bold black orcs ( and almost all other monsters in the area but the main focus is on them ) since i was level 33

AND NOT A SINGLE ORC TOOTH DROPPED

sometimes i find an orc tooth on the floor from other players and i take it to the biologist and he ALWAYS says that they are rotten and i have to try again tomorrow

I really need help
None are dropping for me and all the ones i find and bring them to him gets rejected

its me again. Ive got Lvl 95 now with my Sura, now I have a question, should I stay lvl 95 to farm in the forest or should I go to 105 and farm dungeons? If I stay lvl 95 what is the must have Equip for it? I thought wind devil equip would be enough, but i want to do a lot of damage, is wind rly important to farm Metins?

Ive got a Poisonsword without Element 51 avg., which Element would u do on it? I was thinking about Wind but i saw so many Lightning Poison Swords on Market.

Hello! I really liked the concept of mt2009, however missed the start. Are there any similar upcoming old school private servers?

So, the server we’ve put so much time into is officially gone. Discord deleted, site and game blocked—just like that. Honestly, the worst part is they didn't even bother to give us a heads-up or a simple explanation. Total silence. I guess this is where our private server journey ends.

Just wanted to show you because I am crazy with not many friends

recently i learned that getting high defence will turn against you if the monster peirce strike you, their hit will ignore your defence and on top of that it will add whatever you defence is to the hit. so just wondering how often will i be hit by pierce strike from mobs/bosses.

Ive played on the server since launch and cant help but notice that in the past weeks player count has decreased significantly .

Map 1 is dead compared to what it was . Trading on low-mid level is hopeless . Prices are all over the place , items take forever to sell and it has become extremely hard to find desired pieces . Trade chat is proof , some players spam their items for days . I remember looking for 2k hp necklaces and there were like 40 shops found , as of today there are 2 in Jinno 2 in Shinsoo and none in Chunjoo .

Just from my own circles many of my friends quit after the endless downtimes and lagg waves and also from my guild many players just disappeared .

I believe mid-level playerbase has lost a lot of people , the ones remaining are the self sustaining high levels who dont need the midtier stuff anymore and the other group is beginners/casuals who dont have any buying power yet .

Im interested if any of you think or experienced the same , and if you are someone who played but have quit , what were your reasons.

any suggestions? haven't been playing on official since 2014 btw
