Marathons really shine at night

Enjoyed my JDD the last couple nights while camping. It’s that time right after dusk and into the night where this watch really stays bright when your eyes adjust. My buddy was like, dang your watch still glows this late? I was like yup, it will be this bright for many years. I said the lumed watches will be bright at first but after a couple hours, tritium is much more appreciated. Now he’s looking for a watch with tritium. 😂

Experiencing love at first sight with Marathon watches. Recommendations for a beginner please.

Ditched my Garmin close to a month ago and was looking for another Garmin or wait for the Apple Watch Ultra 4.

After a lot of thought I truly believe the metrics those watches offer are bullshit. I need to get a real watch.

Was close to getting a Seiko and then something from AliExpress but decided to see if anything was made from the land I was born and raised in. Found Marathon pretty quickly and am set on getting a watch by them.

So if anyone has any opinions on owning these or what models I should look into I would truly appreciate it.

Never missed a watch

Got my watch send in for warranty and some fresh tritium while it is in Switzerland already.

The process takes a while, and in the mean time i wore some other watches, which are also great. But I really miss the marathon.

Glad for me that if everything goes according to plan, I will have it back tomorrow.

GSAR Movement swap

I have the USMC GSAR from my service time and I’ve got tritium tubes falling out and the movement is starting to go. Does anyone know if I sent it to marathon if they would be willing to put the quartz movement in it?

I‘m glad to be back! I used to have a MSAR black dial quartz, but stupidly sold it a few years ago. I’ve been thinking about it ever since, and decided to get another one. I got a MSAR quartz white dial this time but I noticed that it wears thicker than my old one.

I thought I was going crazy, but I contacted Marathon and they confirmed that the case in the MSAR quartz was updated in the last couple years and it is a bit thicker (about 1mm thicker). they specifically said “The manufacture of that case changed and to accommodate our product the case size changed a little.”

I am a bit bummed, because I like wearing NATOs and having the watch wear even taller is not ideal, especially when there’s a thin quartz movement inside. it already wears like a stack of nickels! I still like it though! the white dial is great and I’m looking forward to getting it in the water

here is it on a Eulit perlon two-piece strap. Wrist is ~6.5” for reference. cheers!

MSAR 36mm on 5.8inch wrist.

Ive been thinking about getting a 36mm MSAR but my wrist are baby. Can I get some pics from people with smaller then 6 inch wrists. Height doesnt bother me. Just doubting.
