dream car

Got our dream car!

White Eminent Pearl exterior + Palomino interior with panoramic sunroof.

Ended up going with a Premium Plus since we couldn’t get Palomino in a Luxury trim. Palomino & the pano sunroof were non-negotiable for us. We called every dealer in state, and none of them could get the exact spec we wanted. Ended up purchasing it out of state and had it delivered via enclosed trailer.

Sold our Kia for this, so the ride quality is a huge upgrade. Planning to drive this until the wheels fall off 😂 Loving the MPG so far too. So far, so good — the cabin is so quiet and so comfortable to drive. It honestly feels like floating.

Already got it ceramic coated, tinted, full front PPF, and loaded with accessories. Any care tips from long-term Lexus owners?

Pulled the trigger on rx350h. Did i get a fair deal?

Finally bought a 2026 premium rx350h (cloudburst grey with birch interior). Has add ons like 14 inch display, 21 inch wheel, 360 degree pano, kick sensor, etc.

I was able to get $59,999 OTD (inclusive of all taxes, fees and registration). Location: Bay Area.

What do folks think about the deal? Is it in the right ballpark or could’ve been better?

P.S. this is my first time buying a car from dealership. So a bit new to whole negotiation game.

Joined the club. Any recommended accessories to keep it clean?

Already had my PPF, Ceramic coat, and ceramic tint at a local detailing shop that specializes in it.

$66.5k OTD / $59.5k before TTL for a 2026 Lexus RX 350h Premium+ AWD | 9.5% off MSRP (12.2% effective w/ freebies)

I had this drafted for a long time, but seeing people’s deals being a couple grand more made me feel like I should share to help others when buying a 2026 Lexus RX 350H Premium+. No trade-in because YMMV.

On February 2026, I bought and drove home my 2026 Lexus RX 350h Premium Plus AWD, but I had to drive 2.5 hours for it in San Diego. My local Los Angeles and Orange County areas are discounting them maybe for $2,500 and that’s it. New shipments are already having a higher base MSRP. But let me tell you this, it is still possible to get great discount. This Eminent White Pearl / Macadamia interior color combo is extremely rare. It just arrived at the dealership with only 2 miles, and I called right away to claim it with my $66,500 offer (I did provide a similar written offer another dealership gave for $66,900). Dealership agreed and it was smooth sailing from there.

MSRP $65,780
Discount $6,280
Taxes 9.75% (Los Angeles) $5,838.30
Fees $857
Out the door: $66,490.30
Effective discount ~9.5%

Free dealer add-ons:
Diamond Ceramic protective coating $985
XPEL Window Tint $595
XPEL Premium Shield Package $395
Total: $1,985
Effective discount with free dealer add-ons ~12.2%

The dealer also let me put $5,000 on my credit card with no fees

TL;DR: 12.2% off MSRP after three weeks of tough negotiations on a rarely discounted vehicle with a difficult-to-source color combination.

How much does the interior noise increase over the first few years?

I had a '21 IS350 and after about 3-4 years the interior got so loud with road noise. My '26 RX350 is extremely quiet, which is one reason I chose it over other SUVs.

For those who've had theirs for a few years, had the interior noise increases?

2GR FE Knocking Noise

Hello everyone,

I have a 2010 Lexus RX 350 with 210k miles that I assume recently started making a hollow knocking noise. It almost can’t be heard from the top due to the lifters clacking. It’s noticeable from below and is coming from the driver side of the engine (third clip). I need to verify again but I’m pretty sure it increases with rpm’s but not linearly.

My first thoughts were that the crank bearing may be bad because it’s coming from so low in the engine. After some thinking I suspect it might be the torque converter but I may be coping. I’ve had weird acceleration issues where RPMS stay the same but I’m accelerating or decelerating. I chalked it up to VVTI. It’s only happened on one drive but sometimes it would act like it’s in neutral in drive and then grab at like 3500 rpm. I passed that off because since that drive it hasn’t done it again. Regretting ignoring those issues now.

This above my pay grade how ever so I don’t really know. Gonna take it to a shop for a diagnoses. Any chance I won’t need a new engine/transmission?

Engine is up to temp in the video

Apple CarPlay with Touchscreen

Just got a 2019 RX350 base model and I wanted to add CarPlay that has touchscreen. I heard about Hamilton and was wondering how good it is? I heard the start time was long and was just curious what the rough estimate for that was and I also wanted to know if installing a Hamilton would mess with the speakers. Also are there any other options besides Hamilton for CarPlay + Touchscreen?

2008 Lexus RX350

Hi Folks,
I am thinking to buy 2008 Lexus RX350, current mileage is around 192K miles. Seller is asking for $5800, as per seller the car has been rust proofed. What do you guys think should I consider high mileage SUV.
I am looking to survive with at least 4 years with any SUVs. I will be checking the car tomorrow, what things should I consider?

Thanks

Ok. We got 2023 RX350 Plus Hybrid. There is 7,500 miles. Recently we had to jump start (from Lexus roadside) Twice since we bought it new in June 2023.

1st time, the battery, under the hood died. We got jumpstarted and drive to the dealership. They gave us a new battery.

2nd time the Hybrid battery total drained, had to jumpstart drove it to recharge it. We see the battery status at 70-80% charged.

We barely drive this car as this is our weekend luxury car. We live in the city with street parking so there is No way to have trickle-battery AC adapter to keep it charge.

We are in situation- where is it better for us to trade-in and get a 2026 GAS RX350? Or just drive it more offten.

Trade-in value $45k, we have to shell out $20k for the GAS RX.

Love to hear your opinions.

Lexus VSA, Platinum coverage with $0 deductible cost for 10 yr/100K warranty

I am planning to purchase a certified 2023 RX500h (in-service date: September 2023) and am considering adding a 10-year/100K-mile Lexus VSA, which would extend coverage from September 2029 through September 2033.

Alternatively, I understand I can choose to add the warranty later—anytime before the 4-year/50K-mile mark—but I am concerned that pricing may increase over time due to inflation.

Could you please share what a fair value range for the Lexus VSA would be so I can negotiate effectively with the dealer? I would also appreciate any guidance on whether it is better to secure the warranty now versus waiting until closer to the deadline.

Lexus Care- AAA backward Jumpstart and Claim Process

2024 Rx350h

Finally, the battery gave up, and I called the Lexus roadside assistance. They sent an AAA person who jumped-started my hybrid backward and burned the main Fuse. The dealership will, of course, replace the battery but will not cover the fuse portion. I called Lexus Roadside Assistance and submitted a request for compensation. I haven't heard from them since this morning; their timeline says 48 hours.

Has anyone experiencedsuch? Issues with the dealer and AAA roadside assistance?

TIA

2021 RX450h cross-country road trip

I’m planning to take a cross-country road trip in my 2021 Lexus RX450h, from Southern California to South Florida. Will be staying in hotels/with family while on the road, so no camping or anything.

I’m getting my car detailed right before the trip & was going to take it to my mechanic before as well.

What should I tell them I want done? I was assuming a tuneup, but is there a specific list of things I should ask them to do?

Any tips for making sure my car is in good shape throughout the long drive?

Purchase Advice Please - in Toronto

Hoping for some advice from Canadian owners on my pending deal and insurance question.

I’ve made a deposit on a 2026 RX350 Luxury Pkg, 4 yrs, 80k with all maintenance prepaid. Zero down, 1.9% interest on a 4 year lease, $1050/mo all-in and includes Tag.

Thoughts on the deal?

Also regarding insurance, I’m being told to expect a considerable increase from the Infiniti QX60 we are moving on from due to theft/car jackings. Is there anyone here from GTA who can confirm/deny if their rates increased significantly with an RX350 purchase? This plus the theft risk is giving me cold feet.

Appreciate any insights. Thank you. 🙏
