Built the Black Pearl this weekend… easily one of my favorite LEGO experiences ever 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

This weekend was spent building the lego black pearl, and it was amazing. Before purchasing I had seen countless reviews and thought it was an amazing set with insane play features like the deploying cannons, working rotor etc.

But what really surprised me was the amazing build experience. As is the norm with the big lego sets I thought there would be repetition (don't get me wrong there was some). However I was pleasantly surprised by the interesting building techniques that were used. I really loved how the curved stern/rear section of the ship was achieved. Seeing that portion come to life was unbelievable.

When the hull of the ship was built it didnt look too large but with the stand, sails and riggs it is massive !!!! I have attached a photo of me holding the built version for scale.

Absolutely loved this and was worth every rupee. Will now be saving up money for the independence sale. Do let me know any suggestions for future lego sets.

Finally got the LEGO Avengers Tower for just ₹20.5k 😭🔥

Big thanks to this community for telling me to stay patient and wait for the right deal instead of panic buying 🙌
Finally managed to grab the LEGO Avengers Tower (76269) for just ₹20.5k and I’m genuinely so happy with it. The advice here honestly saved me a lot of money and made getting this set feel even more satisfying 😭🔥

Seller Review – Kay Kay Oversea (Amazon):
Excellent experience overall. The LEGO box arrived in pristine condition with absolutely zero dents, scratches, or corner damage. The set was properly sealed and was additionally packed inside the original import/shipping box which kept it very well protected during transit.

Finally shot this set properly, and the black/orange color scheme is hard to beat.

The design feels aggressive, sleek, and very different from the classic X-Wing look.

Curious where this ranks for everyone among LEGO X-Wings.

Where to buy Lego Icons Concorde at a good price? Availed Amazon Summer Sale but wrong product was sent.

Basically the title. Concorde was listed at around 9k Rs. till yesterday as part of Great Summer Sale on Amazon. I ordered it. However, today, Lego Diagon Alley was sent.

Customer care is offering a return but not replacement, saying that the item is out of stock.

I can't place a new order as the sale price is no longer available and the only buying option is from a different seller for over 28k Rs.

Amazon seems fraudulent, Concorde doesn't seem to be available on Hamleys website, and Flipkart has had a Rs. 9k out of stock listing for it since months. Any leads?

Which one to choose, considering I am modulars fan

Really not sure which one to buy among these three. Which one would you suggest based on build experience?

Excited to build this!

Arrived in pristine condition. Can’t wait to start building this iconic Lego set.

Amazon sent me two sets!

Ordered a sunflowers and starry night set in the ongoing Amazon sale. Got 2 starry nights and sunflowers instead.

All in pristine condition too.

Has this happened with anyone else? Should I keep the spare it till it's retired (online says end of 2026) for value or sell it now?

Too many Lego sets. Too little time.

(Not in the picture, Bumblebee Transformer set)

As someone else previously posted, I think I’m becoming a LEGO hoarder 😭 - I want to build these so badly but work has been insane and I have no time. Hopefully will get at least one of these done this month.

LEGO collecting in India is broken (and no one’s fixing it)

Hot take: being a LEGO collector in India just sucks.

  • Want retired sets? Good luck.
  • Want specific parts? Pay insane import + shipping from bricklink or ubuy
  • Want fair prices? Everything’s scalped.
  • Want to sell? You’re stuck dealing in DMs on Instagram or WhatsApp like it’s 2015

There’s no proper marketplace here. No trust system. No structure. Just chaos.

So instead of just complaining, I’m trying to figure out what exactly is broken from the community’s perspective.

I made a quick 2–3 min survey where I would love to get real inputs from you:

Also curious:
What’s the most frustrating thing YOU’ve dealt with as a LEGO buyer/seller in India?

Spent ₹22k on a LEGO set from Flipkart… had to reject it because of the box condition

So I recently ordered the LEGO McLaren set from Flipkart during the sale for ₹22,314. It was supposed to be a birthday gift for someone, and since it’s a premium LEGO set, I was genuinely excited for it to arrive.

The order had Open Box Delivery, so I checked everything properly in front of the delivery person. The weird part was that the outer shipping box looked completely fine, but when we opened it, the actual LEGO box inside was badly crushed and damaged from multiple sides.

Now I know some people will say “as long as the pieces are okay, what’s the issue?” — but anyone who buys LEGO collectibles will understand that the box matters too. Especially when you’re spending over ₹22k on a set like this. Half the experience is the presentation, the artwork, and opening a clean box.

It honestly felt like the product was already stored poorly before shipping. I just couldn’t gift something in that condition, so I rejected the delivery on the spot. Seller was RIDNISHretail.

What makes this even more frustrating is that these platforms know LEGO is a collectible/premium category product. This isn’t some random household item where packaging condition doesn’t matter.

The funny part? After rejecting it, I reordered the exact same set from Amazon India for around ₹18k from Kay Kay Overseas Corporation Store. Ended up getting a better deal too somehow 😭

Now I’m just hoping this one arrives in proper condition because honestly this whole experience killed the excitement a bit.

Anyone else here faced similar issues with LEGO orders in India? Which platform or sellers have actually given you good packaging/box condition

Look what I got in the mail. I thought Flipkart is going to cancel this order after 3 missed deliveries from their side.
