Built the Black Pearl this weekend… easily one of my favorite LEGO experiences ever 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

This weekend was spent building the lego black pearl, and it was amazing. Before purchasing I had seen countless reviews and thought it was an amazing set with insane play features like the deploying cannons, working rotor etc.

But what really surprised me was the amazing build experience. As is the norm with the big lego sets I thought there would be repetition (don't get me wrong there was some). However I was pleasantly surprised by the interesting building techniques that were used. I really loved how the curved stern/rear section of the ship was achieved. Seeing that portion come to life was unbelievable.

When the hull of the ship was built it didnt look too large but with the stand, sails and riggs it is massive !!!! I have attached a photo of me holding the built version for scale.

Absolutely loved this and was worth every rupee. Will now be saving up money for the independence sale. Do let me know any suggestions for future lego sets.

With the collector week discount in effect I decided to go and try my luck at lego store in chennai and see what sets were available at discount. To my suprise I was able to get the black pearl ( no idea why its called captain jack sparrows pirate ship) at 25,500. This is including the 1500 cashback for HDFC 3 month no cost EMI offer. Also surprisingly the stat wars GWP, dark saber was also included. While I am busy this week, looking forward to building it next week.
