UltraClear laser under-eye overtreatment

Hi everyone,

I had UltraClear laser + PRF targeting my under-eye/tear trough area on April 13th. Two days later on April 15th I was brought back in and treated again with the laser only (no PRF second time) because the clinic felt my under eye wasn’t treated enough. They have been truly awful.

I’m now 19 days post first treatment and experiencing:

∙	A circular indented hot spot mark on the right under-eye area
∙	Hyperpigmentation around the treated area
∙	Ongoing redness and inflammation
∙	Tear trough hollowing more pronounced than before

I had this treatment done because I wanted to feel beautiful on my wedding day and it is only months away. I’m devastated by what has happened. I didn’t have any volume loss or hollowing issues under my eyes prior to the laser. I was trying to address fine lines and tightening the area.

I have a separate dermatologist who prescribed Elidel (pimecrolimus). I’m worried about the two treatments two days apart and whether this constitutes overtreatment.

My questions: 1. Has anyone had a similar experience with UltraClear or any laser under the eyes? 2. Has anyone experienced temporary hollowing post laser that resolved? 3. Has anyone had a hot spot/circular indent that healed on its own? 4. Did anyone experience hyperpigmentation that resolved? 5. How long did your recovery take?

I’m currently using Elidel, planning to add silicone gel and Calecim serum. Have PRF already injected from first session. Any experiences or advice welcome. Thank you so much!!!

[Misc] Potencial damage from IPL

Hello!

A few weeks ago I had IPL done to treat some hyperpigmentation and one broken capillary. I've noticed that there are 2 spots where my skin became indented after the procedure. It wasn't like that before, now it is. I have red online from people saying that IPL can potentially cause fat loss but I seriously doubt that given the lack of evidence.

This is what it looks like currently. The two scars are on the right.

Any advice? The whole ordeal is making me extremely depressed.

New erythema spots lingering after Excel-V?

I had my third Excel-V treatment for facial redness and red veins on cheeks, nose, and chin but this time have been left with a ton of red spots all over my face. They appeared within 24h after the treatment and have not calmed down in the slightest. I spoke with the MD and she reassured me that the same settings were used as the previous two times (?!) and they will go away within a week, but they haven't faded at all (it's been four days!) and I am growing extremely concerned. I look diseased.

My first two Excel-V treatments went really well, and I noticed significant improvement in my baseline redness and visible red veins. Others have noticed (my hairstylist, my eyebrow girl, my kids) and I was excited to continue making progress. I experienced general swelling for 2-3 days after each treatment, and slight redness for the first 1-2 days, but NOTHING like this. What can I do to fix this?

Any success growing bush back after regrets?

Hi I'm a 21 year old female who had a few laser sessions that I stopped a few months ago. I still grow hair down there but it is much thinner and definitely patchier in some areas. I was wondering if anyone who has ended up missing their hair has had any success growing it back out or making it appear denser? Any tips and tricks would be appreciated!

Fraxel is this normal?

I got fraxel done exactly 8 days ago. First few days were fine, shed the dead skin normal, no pain but now my skin is heavilyy bumpy textured still. I read by now it should be smooth. It doesnt feel like dry skin but like small bumps or millia perhaps? Any advice or is this going to be fine?

It doesnt look bad at all distant but in direct light its pretty noticeable and feels rough

hives/rash/intense swelling after “light” co2 (pixel peel)

I am 5 days post co2 pixel peel. This was advertised as “little to no downtime”, yet you can see from my pictures that was far from true for me.

Has anyone experienced this type of prickly, heat rash after a laser that will not go away? The swelling is starting to subside, but this rash will not go away and I have yet to see any shedding of dead skin.

I had this done at an aesthetics spa. Do I need to see a doctor?

Fat loss from LED panel

Hello all !

I’m so happy to join and find support. I experienced fat loss on my face, neck, hands and even elbows from using red light therapy !

It was a very strong panel. The PlatinumLED biomax 900. two panels. one in the front and one behind me. I was doing only 1-2 sessions a week for 6 weeks. (Sessions lasted 13 min) I was only 10 inches away but that is how the Medspa (Restore Hyperwellness) set it up. i was unable to stand back any further. There were no signs whatsoever until week 6 after 9 sessions I woke up and looked completely different! I’m so depressed this might be permanent.

it thinned out the adipose layer all over my hands, neck and face. i look 20 years older.

the internet research keeps saying I didn’t kill the fat cells that I just “emptied” them and over time they should refill back up. mentions lipolysis. Has this happened to anyone else and did your fat eventually come back over time ?

So far I’m 7 weeks out and while I’m not getting worse , I don’t see improvements yet. really hoping this is not permenant fat atrophy.

Thank you so much

Orange peel skin!!!

Hey guys,

I’ve had co2 fully ablative laser resurfacing to my full face for acne scarring 10 months ago.

I have so many issues but my main one currently is this orange peel texture on my nose.

I’m currently using azelaic acid 15% and soolantra prescribed by a different derm for acne rosacea which she said the laser has made worse.

What treatments or products or something can I do to make the orange peel texture much more improved? Or is this a forever thing now?

Persistent laser outline/pinkness

I had an aggressive CO2 laser treatment done last June for my acne scarring and it has left a faint pink outline on the left side of my face. Sometimes it flares up when I'm stressed/nervous or after doing physical work, but the pinkness settles quickly (within 30 or so seconds). I am concerned that this is permanent damage as I am near one year post-CO2 and I can still see the laser's outline. It has improved over the past couple of months, but extremely slowly. To clarify, I have no pain, inflammation, or change in skin texture in the affected area. The treatment itself helped my acne scars a lot but the pinkness is extremely annoying... and I don't think it should be taking this long to heal from a fractional (albeit aggressive) laser. What can I do to fade it completely?

Day 20 - prescribed clobetasol

Had my first post-op on day 16 after a full face co2 laser. I was worried about the lingering red spots so the surgeon prescribed 0.05% clobetasol 2x day for 1 week. today is day 20 post-laser and day 6 of the steroid. Specific patches on my chee (crepeyness from side sleeping, nose (enlarged pores from teenage picking), and forehead (wrinkles and sebaceous filament) where he must have gone much deeper are still as red as they were when I started the steroid.

Are there any other treatments I can be doing at home to help lessen the redness?

Is there harm in using the topical steroid for another week? Can I expect it to help?

Potential damage from IPL

Hello!

It wasn't like that before, now it is. I have red online from people saying that IPL can potentially cause fat loss but I seriously doubt that given the lack of evidence.

Unfortunately it is very hard to take a picture where the indent is visible and I don't have a before one either.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice?
