LA Metro Testing an Ebusco Bus
Spotted at the Division 8 bus yard. Ebusco is a Dutch bus manufacturer, who might be trying to break into the US/Canadian bus market.

renovations at union station
when i was at union station earlier today, i was really impressed that a lot of renovations were happening
i was in a rush to catch the metrolink san bernardino line train but i took a quick photo that there are now a lot of benches in the platforms which is a good thing
also, i didn’t take a photo but i noticed that in the hallway, there’ll be la metro art gallery on the left and right sides as you’re walking through. i’m not sure if it’ll be the same previous artworks though the hall but we’ll see

Got tickets to the Olympics! Will definitely use Metro and other agencies to reach venues.
I'm very excited to have gotten tickets to see the Olympic games in 2 years thanks to the local presale! It will be fun and interesting to use Metro Rail and other transits to reach the venues I'll be in whenever possible. Currently, my plan would look like this:
E Line to Coliseum, BMO Stadium, and LA Convention Center
A Line + LB 151 to Marine Stadium, a bus to Santa Anita Park, and Dodger Stadium Express to Dodger Stadium
J Line + Torrance 6 to Dignity Health Sports Park, and Foothills SS/280 to Industry Hills
209 or K Line + 117 to SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome
Metrolink to Honda Center
And finally Amtrak + Green Line to Snapdragon Stadium
There is a chance I will change or add some tickets in future, especially when resales will occur (because I really wanted to go to Venice, Staples Center, Sepulveda Basin, Port of LA, etc), but so far im very happy with this haul.
Do you guys plan on getting tickets too and using public transit to reach the venues?
Former Metro Micro Operator (left before outsourcing in March 2025) – AMA
Hey everyone,
I used to work as a Metro Micro operator and left in December to go overseas, right before operations were outsourced to a third-party contractor in March 2025 (MTA still oversees it, but daily operations changed after I left).
I figured I’d do an AMA since a lot of people use the service or are curious about how it works behind the scenes.
Even though I left before the transition, I still have firsthand experience with how things were run internally and can give insight into what likely changed based on how the system operated before.
I can talk about:
- What the job was really like day-to-day
- Pay, hours, and working conditions
- The dispatch system and routing
- Passenger experiences (good, bad, and weird)
- Common issues riders don’t realize
- What outsourcing likely changed from an operator perspective
Ask me anything!
New subway models have a second whistle
This just happened randomly while I was filming a cab view video, that’s cool
Ride the D shirts
I wish metro didn’t do a limited run of these shirts.
I just bought several elsewhere on line, would’ve rather given my dough to metro.
I did buy several plushies and pillows from them though for my son’s room.
Excited to ride the D and have a subway in my neighborhood.

LA Metro in Black and White

Downtown Santa Ana overhaul
Someone made this detailed transit plan for downtown Santa Ana on my website - bus lanes on Main and 1st, pedestrianized streets, bike corridors on Broadway. I'm not super familiar with Santa Ana myself so curious what locals think - is any of this actually realistic? Check it out here.

Views on each mayoral candidate for transit?
Karen Bass has been horrendeous for the Metro in LA. but what about the other candidates? I know Raman is the best, but my friend supports Spencer Pratt. I know Pratt is more right-leaning, so wouldn't he be terrible?
What about the other candidates?
Would Metro adding EV/Tesla Charging in Station Parking Lots be Viable?
Just got back from a long trip and had to use a bunch of Superchargers since that is the primary company on the way down from the Bay Area and learned that businesses and land owners can apply to lease their land to Tesla and other companies to host EV chargers and the additional possibility of owning the chargers to keep all the profits instead of a fixed lease.
I was thinking about how Metro has many park-and-rides with some awaiting redevelopment, but others are just huge and empty. Is it possible in the future for Metro to partner with these companies to build EV charging stations? I'm not really expecting the drivers of those cars to be riding the system a lot but I was thinking that all that wasted land use could be making Metro a little bit of extra money (especially that HUGE one at Norwalk that is often empty).
Idk this post was kind of a shot in the dark to see what others thought, and I know Elon is cray cray and all that but Metro could partner with other EV companies, Tesla just came to mind since they have a pretty big network and are always looking to expand.
