Hey! My name’s Gustavo, I’m 19 and moving to LA for a 2-month internship in the Fashion District (June 1- Aug 1).

Budget is under $1700/month. Looking to hopefully find something between 1300- 1500.

Just looking for a solid, safe place for those two months.

ISO: Room in Beverly Grove, Pico Robertson, Culver City, Palms, Mid-City

Hi All,

I’m 25M looking for a comfortable living situation in West LA. I’d be moving from Whittier for a position within my career field (PR). The timeline might be a little fast depending on when I get the offer. Ideally move in by May 5th-10th (will pay full first months rent). I’d work remote 2 days a week but would be in office the other 3. I’m pretty laid back. From Ohio and moved here awhile ago. Have lots of friends in the city. I’m gay so looking for LGBTQ friendly. Have tried a bunch of websites and apps but am not seeing much that I like. Open to messages and if you require roommate interviews I’m down to FT if I can’t make it to the West LA area because of work! Inquire if you have any other questions!

Thanks!!

What about Koreatown ? Do y'all know this area?

So I asked you guys about an APT in DTLA ( Alexandria Hotel) a few days ago and a lot of you said that it was a drug infested building. So that's a no.

But there is another place in Koreatown by a similar name called Alexandria Towers. I was told that Korea town was nicer and LGBTQ friendly. Do you guys know the area ?

They run between $1250 to $1600 a month

RENT WITH CAUTION (ZIP 90034)

Looked into renting an apartment on Holt Ave in Mid City from Vision Vistas LLC Property Management.

My rental experience with “Ray” left me feeling very uneasy, so I wanted to provide potential tenants with public information that may help clarify the general application process and background of the management, as well as provide examples of questions to ask during the rental process.

Here are some facts:

  • Ray works with Vision Vistas LLC Property Management
  • Ray is an experienced corporate

attorney

Notice to potential tenants:

  • Inquire about the application fees via text or email (including hidden fees, security deposit withholdings, and additional fees not shown on the online property listing.
    • For example, is there a fee for ESAs?
    • Can a guest stay overnight?
      • What is the maximum days a guest can stay with the tenant?
      • Are there fees after the maximum has passed?
      • Will the security deposit be returned upon vacancy? How?
      • What is the rent amount after the first month? Check for hidden fees!
  • Document every interaction! Keep all communication and records related to the rental for evidence. Record phone or in-person conversations with everyone's prior consent.
  • Do not disclose unnecessary personal information that may be used against you during the rental process (e.g., bank account information, additional income, personal relationships)
  • Possibility of poor communication & evasion: Landlords may ignore tenant calls and emails, making it difficult to resolve issues outside of court.
  • RENT WITH CAUTION!!!

Re-post! [Offered] Room in 2BD2Ba around Filipinotown/Westlake ($1350 a month)

Hi! Reposting: I’m moving out of my room in a 2 bedroom 2 bath in Filipinotown/Westlake (near the Crawford’s and Tommy’s). The total cost of rent is $1,339 with a $25 monthly parking charge (parking is tandem and covered). Water is included and gas + electric usually runs around 40 a month. That means that total cost is around $1400 for the room more or less. Deposit is $1600. — Looking for May 1st move-in!

Amenities:

- Rent controlled

- 3 closets

- Private bathroom

- Private balcony on the second floor

- Online rent and Maintenance app (really quick responses)

- Friendly neighbors

- Cozy kitchen for those who enjoy cooking

Living room wise I’m including photos from the listing rather than ones I’ve taken because a lot of the furniture is going to change.

I’m leaving to go abroad so I’ll also be getting rid of my furniture. If anything looks appealing to someone I’d be down to offload it for a low price (or free tbh)

Both I and current roommate graduated from USC undergrad, me in 2023 and her in 2024. She’s an actor and I’m a writer/currently work in the film industry. She’s super chill, likes to cook and watch TV or movies. Very clean. She’s hoping for a woman and/or queer person who’s similarly clean, quiet, and preferably looking for a long term place. She doesn’t tend to have people over a lot so bonus if you’re like that. I used to have DND games a couple nights a month and she was cool with that. Just no ragers lol.

No dogs as my roommate has a cat. She would prefer another cat so that hers isn’t lonely so bonus points if you have one.

Please message me if you’re interested or have any questions. Thanks!

Room for rent rent in East LA/Boyle Heights

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a woman roommate as my current roommate is relocating for work.

The home is a 3.5 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in East LA (90063). The available room is private, and there is also an additional room I’ve converted into a small home gym with weights and yoga/pilates equipment that you’re welcome to use.

You’d be living with me and my two small dogs. I work full-time Monday through Friday and keep a consistent routine, so the home is clean, calm, and more on the quiet side. Not really a party house although occasionally I have friends over.

Rent is $1100. Washer and dryer on site. Street parking is available, though like most areas in LA, it can take a few minutes to find a spot depending on the time of day.

I’m looking for someone responsible, clean, and respectful, with a stable schedule and similar lifestyle, who also values a sense of home. Someone easy to get along with where we can chat, feel comfortable, and enjoy the space together while still respecting each other’s privacy and routines.

If you’re interested, feel free to message me with a little about yourself, your schedule, and your move-in timeline 😊
