SU:M37 Information/Where to buy in Seoul?

Hello,

Looking for a luxury brand when I visit Korea. Interested in SU:M37 after I read it uses fermented ingredients. Issue is - i cannot find any information on their lines. Reddit is practically dead too with this brand - the last relevant post was almost a decade old. I remember years ago it was big. Did something happen? Where can I find information about this brand and their lines. Also - best/most bargain place to find it? I see Lotte may carry it - checked out duty free shop online - hardly carries any of the line and most is sold out.

Thanks

Years into Korean lip products and i still think about how different they are from what i used to use

Okay so this isn't a new discovery post or anything, i've been using korean lip products for years now. But i was talking to a friend who still uses american stuff and it made me want to get all of this out because the difference is still wild to me.

I used American lip products for most of my life. Glosses, bullets, the occasional liquid lip. Fine! Totally fine. They worked and i never questioned it because i didn't know any better.

The texture difference was the first thing that got me when i switched. It's hard to describe but korean lip tints don't sit on top of your lips the same way. My old glosses i was constantly aware of, moving around, getting on my teeth, feeling kind of heavy by the end of the day. The tints just settle in and disappear. i used to check the mirror constantly because i genuinely couldn't tell they were still there.

But the hydration thing is what i really can't get over even now. I used to just accept that wearing lipgloss = dry lips no matter what bc i thought that was just how it worked. I had to keep putting chapstick on just to survive. Took off my liquid lip at night and my lips looked like they'd been through things...

i don't want to have to deal with any of that anymore, ive fully lost my patience with american lip products. Korean lip glosses ACTUALLY hydrate my lipssssss

To be fair.. american products still win on pigment and color options lets be real but for everyday wear it's not really a competition for me, also tbh not to forget that its so much easier to find cruelty free korean products than american ones.. i felt like i kept being betrayed by brands in the past

Anyway just wanted to share, curious if anyone else made the switch and had the same experience. What were your first K-beauty lip products?

Extremely new to this

Please don’t bite my head off, I don’t know what type of skin I have, I don’t have “bad” skin in the sense of acne but I do get pimples around my nose from time to time. I’m looking for recommendations for a day and night routine, if possible to name what you guys think is/works good for a cleanser, a lotion, moisturizer cream, maybe something with a skin barrier (unless it’s already in the cream or lotion) and anything else you can suggest. I have never done a proper routine before and I don’t know what’s needed in terms of steps/products. I have heard of Aestura atobarrier lotion, s.nature squalane and cosrx 6 peptide booster but I don’t even know if they’re good or when/how to use them (day/night/what order to put on) for reference I’m a 39M. Thank you in advance.

Korean and US sunscreens are literally different products?

I keep hearing that sunscreens in Korea and the US are basically different products even when they're the same brand and same name? The formula, texture and even the protection filters are apparently different because of regulations in each country??

From what i understand the US FDA classifies sunscreen ingredients as drugs which means the approval process is incredibly strict and slow, so a lot of the newer UV filters that are widely used in korean and european sunscreens are not approved in the US yet. Which apparently is why american sunscreens tend to be thicker, more white cast heavy and just generally less elegant on the skin compared to korean ones?

But I want to know if this is actually true from people who have used both or know more about this. Like is the spf protection actually different or just the texture and formula? and if korean sunscreens are genuinely better why is the US so behind on approving these ingredients?

Someone please explain this to me like i'm five because i'm about to start importing my sunscreen and i need to know if it's actually worth it 😭

Any good serums for melasma? need gift advice

Hii!

My sister has a birthday coming up and she’s been struggling with melasma for years. I told her I’d be ordering some Korean skincare, but she’s very specific and only asked for peel-off masks and told me to just pick those...

Since I’ll already be placing an order, I thought I could add one extra product for her, like a serum she could try. I know melasma isn’t something you fix with just one product and it takes consistency + a full routine, but some of these products aren’t cheap and I can’t afford to get her everything. So I thought even adding one product could help her a bit (and save her money if she ends up liking it).

I’ve been going through TikTok and Reddit but I’m still kinda lost since I’ve never dealt with this myself. I was thinking maybe one of these:

Medicube TXA Niacinamide 15

Anua Niacinamide 10 + TXA 4

Anua Azelaic Acid 10

Purito Azelaic + Kojic

Does anyone have experience with any of these, or would recommend something else for melasma/dark spots? Ideally something suitable for sensitive skin and fungal acne safe.

I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences & thank you!! 🫶

Milia and closed comedones??

Hi everyone! I’m new to Korean skincare (and tbh skincare in general) and have been absolutely loving how my skin looks. Only issue is since starting my Korean skincare routine the bottom of my neck is absolutely covered in small bumps (closed comedones?!) and I’ve started getting milia on my eyelids. Can anyone recognise anything in my routine that may be causing it? I’ve recently stopped the all clean balm as that was one of the last things I added before this started happening, but not sure that was actually the culprit. Also I have dry to normal skin.

Morning

Anua Niacinamide 10 + TXA 4 serum (under eyes and on melasma on my forehead only)

Medicube PDRN Pink Niacinamide Milky Toner

Dermide Relief Barrier Moisturiser (I’m wondering if this may be the culprit??)

BOJ Relief Sun (Rice + Probiotics)

Evening

Heimish All Clean Balm

Round Lab Soybean Panthenol Cleanser

BOJ Revive Eye Serum (along bone under eyes only, every second night)

Medicube PDRN Pink Niacinamide Milky Toner (2 layers)

Dermide Relief Barrier Moisturiser

Thanks in advance!

Sulwhasoo Perfecting Tinted Cream (thoughts/opinions?)

I bought this item about a month ago and have been using it every few days.

I want to like it because I used to use the Sulwhasoo Snowise bb cream years ago and it was the best bb cream I've ever used.

The ingredients aren't the same but I tend to enjoy most Sulwhasoo products so I decided to take a chance with this item.

All this to say I'm pretty disappointed. I feel like the tinted perfecting cream doesn't really do much for me compared to the old Snowise bb cream.

Has anyone else tried this or have any opinions? Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I usually apply over my spf and that's all.

Bonus question if anyone knows a dupe for the Snowise bb cream please let me know!!

LED mask vs Medicube Booster Pro at 25… worth it?

Hi!

So I’m 25 and lately I’ve been really thinking about buying something more than just skincare, like an actual gadget/device that could help improve my skin long term and maybe slow down aging a bit.

My sister recently got one of those LED masks (with multiple modes, mainly the red/infrared light), which is supposed to help with wrinkles, acne, collagen etc. And I’ve also been seeing a TON of videos about the Medicube Age-R Booster Pro — people seem to love it across different platforms, but of course there are negative reviews too for both.

Right now I could get the Medicube for around €150 or below on YesStyle because of discounts and points, which is honestly really tempting since it’s the cheapest I’ve seen from a legit store… but it’s still kinda expensive for me as a student 😭

So I wanted to ask people who actually have experience:

  • If you’ve tried either (or both), which one would you recommend more?
  • Is anyone using both at the same time or is that unnecessary?
  • Did you actually see any results?

My friends keep telling me this is something people start using at like 40 and that for me it’s a waste of money, but I feel like once wrinkles are already there it’s way harder to fix them than prevent them??

I’ve been into Korean skincare for a bit over a year now, but I’ll be honest I’m not always consistent (sometimes I literally have to set timers to remind myself to do it lol), so idk if I’m overthinking this or not.

I might sound kinda clueless, but I’d really just love to hear honest opinions from people who’ve used these. Thank you so much!! 🫶

will Olive Young, Yesstyle, etc join the companies in suing the US over tariffs?

Just a random thought I had since with the Supreme Court ruling that the current administration has no authority to impose the tariffs, do you guys think Olive Young and Yesstyle would also consider suing the administration and filing claims to get refunds for customers?

What K beauty product do you actually repurchase?

I’ve been trying to understand this better.

For those using K beauty outside Korea

What do you actually keep repurchasing?

Not just hype, but something that stayed in your routine.

(Also curious where you’re based, if you don’t mind sharing)

Going to Seoul from US

Hello everyone. We are doing a girls trip to Seoul and Busan. Since we are all girls we want to everything spa related. We want the scalp treatment, skin consultation with a nice facial (no treatments), color analysis and Korean baths Jimjilbang. Everywhere I research I see sponsored videos and vlog.

We want affordable and authenticity for all these.

Tried and tested recommendations please?

Thank you in advance.

Lip product cool olive oil

I am apparently a slightly cool but olive undertone . I know i am a cool summer . And in the winter i am even more pale and in the summer i get tan easily . Only this winter did i discover that i am cool so i am trying to understand. I use the nars pot concealer in the shade macademia but its slightly yellow before its blended but its my closest match yet . Anywho i trued the apieu lip gloss the pink one and i love the color it leaves on my lips . But i want to find a matte version and i have been trying for so long with no success. Like its this cool toned pink that is pigmented enough to show as pink but not too much to the point where it looks weird on me . And i tried so many and its a fail everytime so if you have any suggestions i wiuld be grateful . Like i tried the Mac lipstick in the shade syrupey and it was perfectly light but it was too mauve and i tried the romand one in the shade peeling angdoo and i love it but its too dark for the summer/ spring

Damaged barrier Dehydrated combination Skin

I am 34 and have damaged barrier Skin. I never cared for my skin or invested in cleansing until recently.

Today I suffer from it. My skin barrier is damaged, I have many dry wrinkles just around the eyes and forehead. As soon as I apply foundation I feel plastered because my skin looks so dry. I need rich care. If I use mattifying it is too dry. Can someone recommend me very good care that builds up my skin - repairs, gives moisture and also something for anti-aging?

Are these creme shop under eye patches supposed to be dry?

I got these printed under eye patches but they are different then other eye masks I use. They pleal off the plastic and are sticky but not wet at all. And the instructions don't say to massage the excess serum into the skin after taking them off. Just wondering if this is normal or if I got a defective or expired product. I don't see en expiration date but they are the brilliant fantasy printed under eye patches from The Creme Shop with holographic Mickey Mouse heads on them. Thank you!!

COSRX Snail Mucin 96 Power Essence vs COSRX Snail Mucin 92 All Day Cream

I am yet to try the latter, but for those who have tried both, which would you recommend, and why?

I had been using the power essence for a year now and honestly I saw that I wasn’t using it properly—applying to damp skin. Ever since I started applying to damp skin, I’ve retained moisture and hydration more.

However, I’m yet to be convinced about the peptide-booster. Idk what use it is to me honestly.

IDK if I use it as a serum or a toner, but so far, I’ve been using it as a toner in the evening. The only thing I can give it flowers for is being gentle on my skin, which I guess is important, given how sensitive my skin is.

For further information, I have dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin.

Thank you!

What’s one skincare habit that made the biggest difference for you?

I feel like people focus a lot on products, but sometimes small habits make a bigger difference.

For me, being consistent with sunscreen and fixing my sleep made a noticeable change in my skin.

Curious to know, what’s one habit (or product) that actually improved your skin?

Oil Cleanser Recommendation for dry skin

I have a combination skin type, oily T zone and dry, flaky cheeks. Based on this sub's positive review of the Fancl mild cleansing oil, I was stocked to try it only to realize it was really stripping on my skin and my cheeks even sting after this, even though my skin barrier is very healthy. I don't know if people pay this brand to fake review it or not.

Anyway, I'm in need for another cleansing oil that's very gentle for my dry cheeks area. Any recommendation is great. Thank you.
