Question

Just downloaded the app and noticed it prompts to install an "update" right away, but I don't see this update available through the Play Store itself - only within the app. Curious what this component is and why it's delivered separately from the base app. Also, I'm only seeing the Air and Infinity plans listed, no Zero plan. Wondering if these two things might be connected? Just looking for a bit of transparency before going further. Thanks!

Does RCS or iMessage use up your allotted texts?

Since RCS chats and iMessage are data not SMS, do they count towards your allotted number of text messages?

I'm not talking about SMS fallback messages, I strictly mean when RCS and iMessage are working properly & using the data connection.

Hi everyone,

I want to raise a serious concern regarding our mobile data plans. Most of us pay for 1.5GB or 2GB of daily data, but we rarely use the full amount. As you can see in my screenshot, I have 3.2 GB of Weekend Rollover data and 2 GB of Data Delight left, but my pack is expiring today.

This means the data I strictly paid for will simply vanish. This is unfair to consumers. I believe telecom companies should implement one of these two systems:

Data Marketplace: Allow users to "sell" or "transfer" their unused data to other users who need it.

Cashback/Discount: The value of the unused data should be deducted from the cost of the next recharge. If I didn't use 5GB this month, why should I pay the full price for the next month?

In a country like India, where every rupee counts, "Use it or Lose it" is an outdated and pro-corporate policy. It's time for TRAI to step in and ensure we get the full value of what we pay for.

What are your thoughts? Should we demand a "Data Refund" policy?

Two Questions

I noticed this in the group rules: "We tolerate no threats/suggestions of visiting Hotspot hosts at their locations, tracking them down. This also includes doxxing full addresses, or disabling their operation." Is being tracked down a vulnerability with Helium moreso than other plans? Why is this in the rules?

Planning to join the free plan soon. (If anyone has codes or anything before I join, I'd be grateful.)

I'll still be farming from my hotspot but the service is crap everywhere I go. Customer service is actually worse than Comcast/Spectrum lol
