Hi everyone,
I want to raise a serious concern regarding our mobile data plans. Most of us pay for 1.5GB or 2GB of daily data, but we rarely use the full amount. As you can see in my screenshot, I have 3.2 GB of Weekend Rollover data and 2 GB of Data Delight left, but my pack is expiring today.
This means the data I strictly paid for will simply vanish. This is unfair to consumers. I believe telecom companies should implement one of these two systems:
Data Marketplace: Allow users to "sell" or "transfer" their unused data to other users who need it.
Cashback/Discount: The value of the unused data should be deducted from the cost of the next recharge. If I didn't use 5GB this month, why should I pay the full price for the next month?
In a country like India, where every rupee counts, "Use it or Lose it" is an outdated and pro-corporate policy. It's time for TRAI to step in and ensure we get the full value of what we pay for.
What are your thoughts? Should we demand a "Data Refund" policy?
