3x Air Force UH-1N Huey flying at the horizon line

United States Air Force 1st Helicopter Squadron training over the Chesapeake Bay. thought it was cool that they were flying where the horizon meets the bay, popping in and out of view from the tree line.

Whats Mauna Loa training like now

Hi all, I am looking to do training in the US as an international student and I was looking at Mauna Loa. Their Professional Pilot Program looks good with 175 hours in the R22 and 25 in the R44. I've had some exchange with the school and from what they have said it sounds like the best option for me but obviously they will try to make themselves look good and I have heard that they are prioritising tours over training, so I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what the school is like as a student.

A&P apprentice; entry level

Hello all!

I’m a new A&P “ apprentice “ for helicopters, moved into this job by happenstance after 5/6 years in the automotive manufacturing industry.

I’m looking at either doing a crash course for the A&P ( 8 months-1 year ) , or just working through and going the full OJT route ( 3 years right? ).

I’d love some advice from some of yall with more experience in the field, what were pros and cons of school vs OJT? What are some tools you used as a beginner to learn without schooling? Should I even pursue the field?

Thanks in advance!
