I recently bought a KFA 38mm. Everything is great other than a qc issue. Should I worry?

So I bought a kfa38mm yesterday. It keeps perfect time as you can see. But the brush markings on the first link bothered me a bit. Should I send it back, should I keep it or should I give it to a watchmaker and have it fixed?

Oh BTW, the new versions have 3 micro adjustment holes instead of 2. That's awesome.

Just got this as a gift but know nothing about watches. Also can’t seem to find it anywhere online. But love the look, all the watches in this Reddit are beautiful.

[Khaki Auto] Want some opinions on a new watch

I’m getting a khaki field automatic to celebrate the birth of my first child and wanted some opinions on which one would look better with the leather strap and the black nato strap when switching them out. I’m leaning more towards the first

Waited for 2 weeks to arrive

This watch comes with MP3 Player . The music plays in my head whenever I look at it. Indeed very beautiful but do not scream for attention . It’s for the owner to truly enjoy it

My Historic (Kinda) Great Aunt’s Hamilton Watch

Please help me identify this watch that belonged to my great aunt, Mary Webb Nicholson. Thinking it’s a 987 Ladies' Tonneau and maybe because of her aviation history had the dial reset to be sideways. Is it crazy to think this could be a one off sideways dial from Hamilton? Let me know your guys thoughts!

(History)
She was the first woman licensed pilot in the state of North Carolina. She set the light plane altitude record for the state in 1931 when she flew a Curtiss-Wright Junior airplane to 15,200 feet. She became a charter member of The 99's International Organization of Women Pilots when it was formed in 1929. Amelia Earhart appointed her to serve as Governor of the Southeastern Section of The 99's in 1932.

Mary was instrumental in helping Jacqueline Cochran set up a group of American women pilots to ferry airplanes for the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) in England during World War II. She herself was thrilled to join the last group of women pilots who went over to participate in the war effort.

22nd May 1943 - Shortly after being promoted to Second Officer, Mary was ferrying a Miles Master when, due to mechanical difficulties, the propeller flew off her plane over Worcestershire County. In poor weather conditions, she made an emergency landing in a farm field. Unable to avoid hitting a farm building, Mary's plane crashed and burst into flames. A nearby farmer attempted, unsuccessfully, to rescue her. She was the only American woman in the ATA-RAF to lose her life in the war.

Fat guy finally enjoys a leather strap

After finally finding the right measurements for straps for my gigantic wrists, I ordered a nice padded strap from Sherp leatherworks off of etsy. I love it. Glad I can enjoy something other than bracelets and nato straps.

42 MM murph Fit my Wrist well?

I recently got the 42 mm field murph bundle and I wanted to get opinions if it fit well on my wrist. 38 mm just felt too small for me, but I’m worried this might look a touch big. Love the watch otherwise but just want to make sure it’s not wearing too big. Thanks!

The Murph: A Journey Across a Decade!

Interstellar changed me the first time I saw it (late, I know) in 2017.

My love for watches started to bloom shortly before, in 2016.

In 2021, I made my first spreadsheet wishlist of watches I really wanted to own, and the Murph topped the list.

For years, my watch collection and desire ebbed and flowed. Other things took priority—I started a new career, was married, bought a house, a car, had two children.

Last year in 2025, I built ChronoQueue to give myself and other collectors a better way to dream about growing our collections, and still, the Murph was omnipresent.

Today, nearly a decade later, the time was right!

Murph 38mm Strap Options

Currently have a Hamilton Murph 38MM with a bracelet, and I would like to have a strap option. Looking at maybe a leather or sailcloth strap. Based of what I’ve seen here is that the OEM strap takes forever to break in, but if that is misinformation, please let me know what the best options are to consider. Thanks in advance!

Hamilton Jazzmaster H32451141

In love with this mesmerizing blue dial. The Jazzmaster line is a very slept on in my opinion.

Added a Murph to the Collection today

Just bought this 38 Murph for an everyday watch this summer. First Hamilton in the collection.

Also already got a NATO strap for it. Love the look of both the bracelet and the strap.

(Tried posting earlier but something went wrong with the pics)

The Return of the King

After accidentally dropping it off the Bridge of Khazad-dûm (my night stand) I was certain my Khaki Field King was lost to the abyss, passing out of thought and time. “Fly, you fools!” I whispered to the UPS Driver as I shipped it to be repaired by the elven smiths of Swatch Group.

And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, my watch passed out of all knowledge.

Then today at first light I looked to the east and there I saw The White Rider on his FedEx steed. With him, shining like Andúril, the Flame of the West, was my Precious. I’ll follow you anywhere, my captain, my King…

Wanted this for a long time

I’m on my honeymoon and my wife got me not one but two amazing watches that I have wanted for years. I love the brand history and simplicity of these watches. KFM will be daily wear and the KFA is more than dressy enough for me. I’m very happy with how similar but different they look on the wrist. Happy to join the club!
