Am I the only person who thought the kid from the Golden Child was a boy??
Rodney Mullen - Freestyle Contest, Oceanside CA, 1986. I grew up around this time in SoCal, could never skate this well.
The 80s female fitness craze.
The female fitness and aerobics craze was the broadest trend of the decade, almost everyone under 60 had some leotards & leg warmers.
Thirst Quenched
Who else enjoys the thirst quenching delivery of a refrigerated indoor public water fountain?? These were cherished and sought after when we were kids..
This movie still pops in my head every time I'm waiting for a certain day to arrive. Groundhog Day (1993).
The Jewel of the Nile (1985). Directed by Lewis Teague and written by Mark Rosenthal and Lawrence Konner, and starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito. A worthy follow-up to a classic.
Throw Momma from the Train (1987). A delightfully clever dark comedy that never gets old. If anything it just gets better.
Heya Xers! My thirteen year old wants to travel by train from the burbs to our city (Seattle) to see his first live all ages show. Like alot of us Xers I have fond memories of all the live music I saw as a kid/young adult and I'm stoked that he's interested, but I can't remember going to an all-ages show (with a bar for adults) that young, even with typically "Do you know where your kids are?" type parents. How old were you when you went to your first all-ages show? And just out of curiosity, how did you get there? Ride, public transportation, drive? And who did you see?
This is the fight we were robbed of! Who wins???
I am still pissed that Stallone killed off Creed!!! It just wasn’t necessary

For most of us we’ve reached beyond the half way point of our lives.
