We just launched mentorship on our student guidance platform and we’re looking for mentors

Hey everyone 👋

We recently launched a mentorship feature on Uniquest Africa, a platform focused on helping SHS students and young learners make informed decisions about their future.

We’re currently looking for experienced professionals who can mentor students on things like:

  • Career paths
  • University & program selection
  • Industry insights and experiences

Mentors can create sessions on topics they’re knowledgeable about, and students can join and learn directly from them. Mentors also earn from paid sessions they host on the platform.

We’re especially looking for people who are already beyond the university level and working in their fields.

If this sounds interesting to you, or you know someone who would be a great fit, feel free to apply or share it with them 🙌

👉 mentors.uniquestafrica.com/apply

Would also love any feedback or ideas on how we can make the mentorship experience more valuable for students.

Update: MoMo Fraud Checker

23 days ago I posted here about a tool I built after my mom lost GHS 6,387 to a MoMo scammer.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Opportunities_Ghana/s/m1hfyqjesK
The response was incredible. Thank you.

Here’s what’s happened in 23 days:

The Fraud Database:

  1. 1,100+ scammer numbers flagged
  2. 80% with real evidence attached such screenshots, descriptions, dates
  3. Linked numbers feature added: Scammer networks connected together
  4. Disputes system improved

Verified Business Directory (NEW):

Ghanaians can now find official verified numbers for real businesses. No more Googling and landing on fake listings.
Still completely free. No account needed.

Check a number → osebow.com
Find a business → osebow.com/business
Report a scammer → osebow.com/report

Would love feedback from this community again especially on the business directory. What businesses do you want to see listed?

osebow.com

What are you building, and what stage are you at?

Welcome here. What are you building, and are you still at idea stage, testing with users, or already selling? It would be useful to know so people can respond with advice that fits your stage.

How early should you register with the data protection commission if you are a startup dealing with instutional data?

I'm at the pilot phase of a church startup. I saw online that I need to register at the Data Protection Commission and appoint and train a Data Protection Supervisor. I want to validate the pilot before proceeding, as I thought it would be too much at the start.

Can someone moderate this in my stead?

Don't know much about reddit and honestly, don't want to take time to learn about it. I created this space to help founders like me, navigating through the ghanaian system. So I'd like to let someone take care of the space and moderate it well.

SafeReceipts - Digital Receipts & Returns/Exchange Management for Retailers

A friend who sells online told me something that stuck with me.

A customer bought an item through Instagram DMs. Payment was confirmed through Mobile Money, delivery was arranged, and everything seemed fine.

A few days later, the customer came back saying the item was damaged and wanted a replacement.

The seller had to scroll through weeks of chats trying to find proof of payment, order details, delivery conversations, and what was originally agreed on. The customer was also frustrated because they felt they had already “proven” the purchase.

Nobody was trying to scam anyone, but the entire post-sale process lived across screenshots, voice notes, and memory.

That conversation got us thinking about how little infrastructure exists for small social sellers after a sale is completed.

Most tools focus on getting the sale.
Very few help with returns, replacements, exchanges, or customer disputes afterward.

So we started building SafeReceipt, a lightweight digital receipts and post-sale tracking tool for sellers operating through WhatsApp, Instagram, and other social channels. Check it out -> https://getsafereceipts.com/

Still very early, mostly learning right now.

Curious to know how you currently handle returns, replacements, or “I already paid” situations when selling online.

Welcome to r/FoundersSpaceGH — A Resource for Ghanaian Founders

Hey everyone. I'm u/Defiant_Concert1701, founding moderator of r/FoundersSpaceGH.

This community exists for one reason: Ghanaian founders need real guidance, and too many are navigating the journey alone.

Whether you're trying to register a business, figure out your tax obligations, build a product, raise funding, stay legally compliant, or just understand your next step, this is the place to ask.

What this community is built on: Founders who have questions + experienced people who have answers. Lawyers, accountants, tech builders, compliance officers, investors, operators. If you've been through it, your knowledge is valuable here.

If you're a founder, post about:

  • Business registration and structure questions
  • Legal, compliance, or regulatory confusion
  • Financial and accounting challenges
  • Tech and product decisions
  • Fundraising and investor readiness
  • Any stage of the journey, from pre-idea to scaling

If you have expertise, we need you. Answer a question. Share what you know. Point someone in the right direction. That's how this community works.

To get started:

  1. Ask a question or share something useful today
  2. Know a founder or an expert who belongs here? Send them the link
  3. Be respectful to everyone

No noise. No spam. Just founders getting the help they actually need.

Welcome to the community. Let's build.
