23 days ago I posted here about a tool I built after my mom lost GHS 6,387 to a MoMo scammer.

Here’s what’s happened in 23 days:

The Fraud Database:

  1. 1,100+ scammer numbers flagged
  2. 80% with real evidence attached such screenshots, descriptions, dates
  3. Linked numbers feature added: Scammer networks connected together
  4. Disputes system improved

Verified Business Directory (NEW):

Ghanaians can now find official verified numbers for real businesses. No more Googling and landing on fake listings.

I built a free tool to check Ghana numbers before sending MoMo. Here’s why:

My mom lost GHS 6,387 to a MoMo scammer. The number had scammed multiple people before her but there was no central place to check or report it.

So I spent the last few months building OsebowApp, a community powered fraud database where Ghanaians can:
