We just launched mentorship on our student guidance platform and we’re looking for mentors

Hey everyone 👋

We recently launched a mentorship feature on Uniquest Africa, a platform focused on helping SHS students and young learners make informed decisions about their future.

We’re currently looking for experienced professionals who can mentor students on things like:

  • Career paths
  • University & program selection
  • Industry insights and experiences

Mentors can create sessions on topics they’re knowledgeable about, and students can join and learn directly from them. Mentors also earn from paid sessions they host on the platform.

We’re especially looking for people who are already beyond the university level and working in their fields.

If this sounds interesting to you, or you know someone who would be a great fit, feel free to apply or share it with them 🙌

Would also love any feedback or ideas on how we can make the mentorship experience more valuable for students.

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been working on a platform called Uniquest Africa, focused on helping high school students figure out what to study after WASSCE.

One thing we kept noticing, especially from visiting schools, is that a lot of students are just… unsure. Not because they don’t care, but because they don’t have access to clear information about what they qualify for or what options even exist.

We recently hit a small milestone I’m really excited about:
1,000+ programs across 40 universities in Ghana 🎉

It’s not perfect yet, but it’s a big step toward making program discovery easier and more transparent for students here.

We’re also working on adding mentorship features next, so students can actually talk to people already in different fields.

If you’re curious or have feedback, you can check it out here (it’s free, no sign-up needed):

Would genuinely love any thoughts, feedback, or ideas on how to make this more useful 🙏

I’ve been trying to use AI to generate UI assets (onboarding, empty, loading, etc.) for a project.

Most outputs look nice at first, but:

  • inconsistent style
  • hard to reuse across screens
  • messy as SVG

The biggest issue is consistency. Even with the same prompt, nothing feels like it belongs together.

I switched to a more constrained approach (minimal, geometric, strict colors), and it’s finally starting to look usable as a system.

Curious how others are handling this?

Are you designing these manually or using any tools?

I’ve been working on SEO for uniquestafrica.com for the last 3 months. I just pulled this performance screenshot and want a gut check from people who actually know what they’re looking at.

What I’ve done so far:

  • On-page optimization (titles, meta descriptions, headers)
  • Improved site speed where I could
  • Started basic link building
  • Published fresh content consistently

The numbers are in the screenshot (GSC/Analytics).

My main questions:

  1. Is this trajectory normal for 3 months of work?
  2. Any red flags with CTR, average position, or impressions?
  3. What’s the single most important metric to focus on next?

Please be honest, I’d rather hear it now than keep going down the wrong path.

Thanks for looking.
