Things have gotten worse
It’s honestly not even worth appealing anymore. The automated system just doesn’t work, and there’s no real human review behind it. It’s all AI, and AI can’t actually tell the difference between an adult and a minor when it comes to something as serious as CSE accusations.
Something similar happened recently with Grok too. Someone edited a photo using AI to remove their kid so it was just them in the picture, and they still got banned. To be fair, Grok isn’t as aggressive as Instagram, but Meta’s system will ban you for the smallest thing.
At this point it’s just mass bans. They’re a multi billion dollar company under pressure from institutions to enforce regulations, so they’re just running an automated system that bans people with AI. That’s it.
I honestly don’t think things will change anytime soon. And when they do, Mark will just blame the AI system like “the AI failed,” while thousands of users lost accounts they spent years building, including followers, communities, friendships, and even money.
Not worth it anymore.
