Do you have any movie "guilty pleasure"? Something that is considered bad or cringey but you start love it inironically? Mine is "Radio rebel". Liked it as a child and still adore as an adult even after it becoming a meme not so long ago.

So I think Attack on Titan might be best anime ever, even though I have not watch much anime like one piece or others but I still think that 1000 episode slow pacing is not going to surpass this. What do you guys think ?

Favorite Video Game Film Adaptations in 2026

>TMI Exit 8 is 2026 by technicality since already came out in other regions

My picks

  • Mortal Kombat 2 - I find battle earth & outer realm much important & better improvement over MK 2021 since we following familiar MK character. But also it has MK move sets I'm familiar with & especially levels.
  • Iron Lung - Impressive for 1st time director never shown interest making like skits. Anyhow film requires a lot patience like watching arthouse. The only gripe is the lore didn't hit me just as much main character journey

My favorite media overall

Some explanations:

- I say Borderlands was overrated because I actually couldn’t get into it, I kinda just lost interest after playing it for the first time… hopefully I could try getting into it again.

- I turn my brain off at Cities Skylines because I just hyper-focus on making random silly cities :)

- Sonic Adventure was listed as “not my thing, but…” mainly I couldn’t think much of a type of game I am not all invested in yet I like a particular game in the said genre/type. So I went with the Sonic games and chose that (disclaimer: I have not actually played that game, but I might sometime for my Dreamcast)

- Shrek the Third is overhated just in my own opinion, it wasn’t as bad as any people say, but it surely wasn’t perfect. While I just say Avatar is overrated because I see it more as a billion-dollar painting to look at rather than a cinematic movie, but it’s still good tho ngl. (TL;DR: I think they prioritized the visuals more, which I absolutely didn’t mind, those are just my thoughts, also Avatar 3 is so far the only super-long film I can recall watching)

-The Austin Powers franchise kinda influenced my humor in a way, plus I can quote at least a few things or more there

“Yes, I would love some chocolate ass-cream”

“I love gooooooooold”

“Come get in mah belleh!!”

“You know I once thought you were crazy, now I can see your nuts! (uh-thank you)”

So on, also I believe they were gonna have a sequel but they were stuck in development hell. Honestly I think it’d be cool if the Austin Powers franchise had just about as many movies like James Bond, kinda as a little satirical franchise

- Similar to Sonic Adventure, The Shining is a movie I’m hoping to watch (as I have the VHS copy), but I’m not really much of a horror fan myself, but I might think more about it eventually.

- I’m aware of James Woods’ political controversies online but you gotta admit he is a good and memorable actor (btw the actress listed as my favorite actress is Holly Hunt, I don’t really have a favorite actress myself but she has a good line of work she’s done, also the series actor I listed is Zach Hadel)

- I thought F is for Family was pretty humorous, and the cast listing was actually fascinating (Bill Burr, Vince Vaughn, Debi Derryberry, etc., pretty star-studded), and I think that they should’ve covered the entire 70’s, and probably should’ve had a time-skip as a final episode, my thoughts tho.

- In addition, I haven’t watched a whole lot of sitcoms, Family Guy was better before c. 2015, Sausage Party: Foodtopia was super disgusting, some people don’t like Fallout 4 as much but I thought it was a pretty fun and interesting game in itself (except for the remake as far as I heard), so on and so forth.

- Btw I consider Rolie Polie Olie: The Great Defender of Fun as a pretty fun movie cuz no only the animation look ahead of its time (just like the show), but it’s got a nice, appreciable vibe, and kind of a good movie to turn your brain off, ignore whatever is going on, and admire the story and animation.

Ties:

Best animated show: VeggieTales and South Park

Best songs: O Brother Where Art Thou?/Jonah

Nostalgic show: VeggieTales/Rolie Polie Olie

Fav. children’s animated show: SpongeBob/VeggieTales (a bit more like preschool kind of, but I guess I could put it at that)/Avatar: The Last Airbender (kinda on the tween or teen orientation but still)

Please don’t get mad at me for calling God of War retro. I know a lot of people wouldn’t consider it a retro game. But it’s the oldest game I’ve played and enjoyed, so I’m counting it.
