BIOS/FAN CONTROL
Should i turn off the Auto in Bios for Fan Curve and make it Flat? before using Fan Control
Should i turn off the Auto in Bios for Fan Curve and make it Flat? before using Fan Control
This started a few days ago after running Fan Control without issue for months. So i updated Pawn IO and reinstalled the new version of Fan Control while trouble shooting. The issue persists. Otherwise the new version picked up everything well. This was an improvement over the older version set up.
GPU fans keep spinning after GPU temps decrease below set fan curve with can control running. If i exit Fan Control the GPU fans keep spinning, never go to 0%. After a restart, If i do not start fan control the GPU fans will go back to zero when the temps drop. Once i run Fan Control again and load the GPU the fans will not drop below 30% once they have spun up regardless of the temps.
I tested this with - Nvidia 0% hardware curve override on and off, same outcome.
I am running no other software aside from a Steam game to load the GPU.
I adjusted the Fan start/stop % in the fan card without success.
Checked Nvidia settings for Power management mode, Set to Normal.
I have included a picture of the GPU fan card and GPU fan graph. Am i getting a setting wrong that is causing this? If any other information is needed let me know.
Hi, i just installed FanControl to quiet down my build, but I've run into an issue.
The software detects and controls the fans of the CPU cooler plugged directly into my motherboard headers perfectly. However, it doesn’t see and control the 4 fans connected to my Fan Hub behind the case.
Is this a limitation of using a Hub with FanControl, or am I missing a specific plugin?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Hi all, can anyone please assist with how to add the temps for CPU / GPU? Many thanks!
Hi all, I am using Mix (max) to control my back fans, there are two graph, one monitor the CPU and one monitor the GPU, I am not sure why, but during my 1 hour session of gaming, the back fan were off for 1 second and on again. Is it because of the mix graph?
May I ask what is the best way to set the fans? Thanks!
Here is the current set up. I have an FT03 mini case, where 1 case fan works as both intake and CPU radiator fan. The fan is Noctua 140mm. At anything below 60% is dead silent. I set pump speed to be constant 60%, which seems to have eliminated the annoying pump whine, which was noticeable during spin up and spin downs of the fan. 60% seems to be not have any effect on the CPU cooling performance. Also I am using Max (GPU, CPU, MOBO) function for the case fan to react to whatever is hottest, but so far it doesn't seem to make that much of a difference.
Issue: Ryzen 7700 seems to have these little spikes in temps which cases the case fan to spin up for a few seconds then down. Would be grateful for an advice how to optimize this set up.
My FanControl was working fine till yesterday, now its not detecting my gpu and idk what to do tbh. What could be reasons for that?
The problematic fan also has this error when I try to modify it. If someone could help me fix this, that would be great.
Hi, I have the lf 3 pro 360 aio and I use the all in one cable for fan pump and pmw, not the one with split heads(not enough ports on top of the mb), i have my case fans set to sys fan 2,3 and 6, my gpu has 2 fans speeds and one speed sensor for the cpu fan, where the aio cable is plugged in, but there is no speed sensor for the pump, how do i make fan control identify the speed sensor for the pump? Do I just hit the “pair speed sensor” with auto of the punp fan control?
I have a HUB for my case fans and I want to use Fan Control to manage them with a curve based on the GPU temp, or if that's not possible, at least control them with manual speeds, but the thing is that Fan Control doesn't allow me to control them.
In the first image you can see that it detects my GPU fans individually which is great, but none of my Case fans are there. I understand that by using a HUB, only 1 fan would appear to control them all, but not even that appears.
On the second image, you can see that Fan Control does recognize them but doesn't allow me to have them in the main panel to control their speeds, I can only modify them from that particular screen which is not very optimal.
Do you know what I can do about this ? Is there any other software that would allow me to control the hub in a better way ?
