April Empties

Bit late, but here's my April Empties. Slow month for me.

One of my best yet!

The items I’d repurchase are the Frenshe oil (in the winter though), the Dove body wash (smelled divine, their absolute best scent) Mixsoon’s bifida night cream and sunscreen, the wipes obvs, ACT anticavity mouthwash (my holy grail, no cavities since I started using it), Dermasil’s Milky Toner (10/10. Love DT), Summer’s Eve wash and the Listerine oral spray!

Ok I know it’s a lot but some of this was shared or used with my kids, they love to steal my stuff, and I’m working on getting through all my products so I’ve been working hard, lots of everything showers!

I really loved the moisturizing body wash, the face oil, skin drip, and snail mucin. The regular body wash, face wash, and body spray were alright but I’m happy they’re out of my collection. I’ve been really intentional about using up specific products and it’s helped me not only enjoy my routine but to also see what my true consumption habits are so I can purchase accordingly.

cleaned my parents’ bathroom and found ‘vintage’ project pan empties older than I am! (20+ years old)

i was helping my parents clean out under the sink in their guest bathroom and found these! most of these are i guess ‘literal relics’ empties from more than 20-28 years ago they are actually older than i am.

i found some others that i couldn’t post on here since they weren’t ‘empties’ (they still had product in them and i wasn't about to touch it!), but these ones were good to go.
a few highlights from the "excavation":
hair: got2b "unglued" (discontinued) and "screaming clean," dep gel, and motions moisture plus.
skincare: OXY, freeman facial masks, and that clearasil perfectawash that automatic battery powered, touch-free face wash dispenser system (i was so obsessed with as a kid.)
nostalgia: the "just for me" lotion and the vintage "hair blacken shampoo" box.

sad i have to toss all of this now, but i had to document this project pan time capsule first! does anyone during then or growing up else remember these specific bottles?

Lots of April empties!

Includes my beauty/self care pans, some home goods, and some progress on my project pan(try)! Great month!

Wow I cannot believe how many empties I have reached this month. I just moved in and I spent lots of time at home so I was able to do a lot of skincare routine and also enjoy to pan some other stuff I was really looking forward to.
Everything is a big YES for repurchase, including the bug repellent haha

Loved the biodance mask, honestly I was not surprised due to several recommendations but still a great afterwards.

Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷 (is there anyone here doing this project too and from Argentina as well? just wanted to know)

Some of these were decanted into bottles I was already using for the product (toner). I will be saving some of the bottles to re-use!

I am sad to say, I have had that Mary Kay spray bottle (toner) for nearly 6 years and the squirter thing finally is trying to give up the ghost 😮‍💨 it has been filled with so many different toners over the years. I feel a little sad it's going away 😅

My favorites this month have been the upper left pink body wash ... If you're a Brazilian Mist (DT) or Sol de Janeiro fan, it's ah-mazing! Actually moisturizing, comes in a huge ass nice pump bottle, foams up beautifully and smells amazing? Also the Jergens lotion - lightly scented but just a touch that was so pleasant! I didn't even want to mixed anything else into it! A weird bottle of super gritty German face scrub - this took me over a year if not nearly year and a half to use and I know scrubs aren't awesome for your face, but I loved it. Only used it once a week, maybe twice and it felt like it polished the crud right off my face. And lastly and my most favorite, the nutmeg and cream lotion 🥹 I didnt even think I'd like nutmeg, but I do love it! I was so sad and began mixing lightly scented lotion trying to make it last. Finally just slathered myself with the last bit of it and basked in the glory of smelling so dang good! All came from the thrift store, new, at a fraction of the cost!

A couple items missing, some candles I stole the jars to craft with!

Compared to last month, I'm not using nearly as much lotion, but it is warming up! I also learned, I hate gummy vitamins 😂 I'd rather swallow pills. Fun month, but finding more half used stuff that hopefully I'll finish in May!

Happy Panning!

Wow it is officially May, but we are back baby!

Cafe Bustelo Dulce de Leche Coffee: amazing 10/10 simply no notes. I would repurchase but want to try other brands/flavors.

Hemps Crushed Peppermint Sugar Hand Cream: I didn't like the texture of this much but the scent was nice. It made my hands a little sticky and greasy afterwards so would not repurchase.

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer- Shade Flax: This is way too much coverage for me and it looks nice but not for me.

Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin Luminous Hydrating Foundation- Shade 17N and 18W: I LOVED this foundation. I used to hate this before because of how shiny it was but I fear I have changed my mind. It looks so radiant and natural and sits so well. It lasts pretty well throughout the day. Would buy the full size!

GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum: This is the 4th tube I have of this and I really think this is a forever repurchase. I really wish there was a cheaper alternative that works similarly.

Parkoo Black Erasable Pen: I honestly thought it was good but I have no use for erasable pens because I developed a habit of crossing out instead of erasing.

Dove x Crumbl Key Lime Pie: This has to be the best scent that has come out of this collab. 10/10 would repurchase but I would like to try other scents.

Geek and Gorgeous Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm: I LOVED this. Great price, works so well, available on Amazon, travel friendly, would definitely repurchase.

L'Oreal Paris Flash Cat Eyeliner- Shade Black: I bought this back when I couldn't do a cat eye without a stencil. This was great but now I am on the pot gel eyeliner vibe.

Peter Thomas Roth Peptide Skinjection Fill + Fix Undereye Cream: This was really nice to have but just not a need to have you know. Would not repurchase for myself but I would love to have it as a gift.

Oral B Floss Action X Toothbrush head: Would repurchase at Costco whenever I am there next it was pretty good.

Estée Lauder New Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lightweight Matte Foundation- Shade 5W1.5: This was surprisingly pretty good for a matte formula. I still do not think it is like outstanding in any way that I would buy the full size. But it was good and I understand the hype but it is simply not for my dry skin.

Extra Sugar-Free Polar Ice Mint Chewing Gum: This is arguably the best brand and the best flavor from Extra. 10/10 already repurchased.

Therabreath Anticavity Fluoride Oral Rinse Sparkle Mint: This sucked would not repurchase.

Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie Fragrance Car Jar Hanging Air Freshener: This lowkey did nothing but I have the holiday pack of this so I have to use up all of them but would not repurchase.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer with Hydrating Medium Coverage- Shade Chestnut: I bought this twice now but I think I am over it. I bought the Natasha Denona Concealer and it is much less drying and it looks so beautiful under the eyes.

Hand Spa Citrus Scented Instant Hand Sanitizer: This was nice and it smelled clean and fresh and I would repurchase but I would like to try other scents.

Declutter: Beauty Sponge (dont know where it's from sorry) but it needs to be switched out and a badge reel from Etsy that does not completely roll back up.

See y'all next month!!!

Here is all my April Empties! Less than I would like, but still a dent in the collection of things that need to be used up! I am 6 months into project pan, and I am beginning to feeling a difference in the amount of clutter in my bathroom!

u/Old_Technician_6548 — 13 days ago

Mostly candles, but not completely!

1. Hello toothpaste: Took me about 2.5 months to finish. Turns out there’s a lot hiding in the container that you can scrape out once you cut it open.

2. Pink Paradise (B&BW): Bought this SDJ dupe when it came out, and this was my last bottle! From the time I bought it to the time I finished it: 2 years to pan. Probably about a month to actually use.

3. Cozy Nights (Kalén & Rose): Really good single wick candle I bought two years ago! Finally finished my last one in this scent. Took two weeks (I think?) to pan. Smelled amazingly bright throughout! Would absolutely recommend this brand if anyone is interested. I’ve met the couple behind it and all their candles are all-natural (and smell amazing!).

4. White Tea candle (Earthly Collection Candle Co.): Probably my longest pan here at two years. Been burning this for shorter periods at a time. It was all right.

5. Cherry Vanilla (DW Home): Got this at Marshall’s a few months ago using a gift card. It was in the clearance section, and it smelled AMAZING! Like fresh cherry, and not too overpowering. Took about two months to burn.

6. Righteous (Kalén & Rose): An amazing blend of earthiness and sweet! My last burn of the month. Also in the “bought two years ago, finished in two weeks” camp.
