April Empties

April update for my project pan!

  1. Kiko 3Dhydra lipgloss [Shade 16]

🤢

Hated the smell, taste, and gritty glitter texture of this shade. Will not repurchase.

  1. Nyx Retracrable Eyeliner [Aquagreen]

🤷‍♀️

It's a pretty product and works well, but I can't use a shade like this regularly, and it will stain for a day Will not repurchase

  1. Kiko smart lipsticks [Shade 404]

🤷‍♀️

Beautiful color, very moisturizing, creamy texture, amazing scent, but has no lasting power at all. Will not repurchase.

Help speeding up hair growth

Hello!

I recently got a haircut for the first time in almost 2 years now and finally went to get some heavy layers and had about 4-6 inches worth of hair at the longest parts. My hair still looks good, and I've received a lot of compliments, but I after the haircut I've realized I prefer my hair being at its original length, so I'd like it to grow back as soon as possible.

Do you guys have any advice on ways to improve my haircare routine to maximize my hair's growth? My hair is naturally dry, low porosity 2b/2c hair that is now bra strap length to mid-back length.

Current Routine:

• Wash my hair 1-2x per week

• Shampoo: I alternate between nizoral and head & shoulder for my scalp (I know head&shoulders isn't the best, but it's one of the few things that consistently keeps my scalp clear)

• Conditioner: L'oreal Elvive conditioner line (switch between the types)

• Leave-in: Vatika moroccan argan hair cream (I've tried other products and always end up coming back to vatika)

• Hair Oil: alternate between olive oil & argan oil before showering

• Styling products: Cantu curl Reviver, Cantu wave whip curling mousse, Batiste dry shampoo for dark hair, and Palmer's shaping wax (used as necessary not all days)

• Heat styling: anywhere from 0-3 times per month

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

The progress I made on my lip products in 2 months.

Current Lipsticks:

  1. Kiko Matte Lipstick [Velvet Rouge]

  2. Essence Glossy Glaze High Shine Lipstick [Shade rubbed off, but I think it was either shade 1 or 2]

  3. Kiko Smart Lipstick [Shade 404]

Making some good progress on the smart lipsticks by using them as lip balms (they're very soft, creamy, and moisturizering, and it helps that they smell delicious and rub off easily) I finished one and switched it out with an essence lipstick. I was gifted that looks too pretty on the lips but unfortunately smells, tastes, and feels awful. Luckily, it goes down super quick, and there's not much product in it to begin with. The matte lipstick I've made no progress on. It's gorgeous but not as moisturizing as the smart lipsticks and is more long-lasting on the lips, so it doesn't need to be reapplied as often.
