New setup, Any advice?

Hi all, my son is getting his first chameleon gecko next week.
We have just setup up this bioactive enclosure, do you think this will be ok?
We will add a cork background in the next day or two and some moss at the front. is there anything else needed.
Photos included showing day and night temps, Yellow is basking spot towards the top, red in the middle and Blue at the bottom of the enclosure.
We mist morning and night abut humidity drops to 40 to 50% in the afternoon. I was thinking of covering 1/4 of the mesh on the top to see if this would keep it higher?
All advice appreciated:)

hi everyone! i got a baby viellardi on Tuesday. the reptile store gave me no info on him. i asked how old he was, and was told he was a few months old. took him out of the small enclosure they had for him to realize he is actually only a few WEEKS old. he isn’t wild caught, the reptile store has a breeding pair. i called the store back and asked if he was still okay to put in a 12x12x12 (they recommended this size until he was bigger) and they said yes, to put him on eco earth in the new enclosure.
i set everything up, misted, mixed up some apricot pangea, and put him in his new home. i watched him eat, he ate some off my finger, and he was all set.
i included the set up at the end, i was still waiting on some things when everything happened. he had UVB, humidity was 83%, temp was 73-75° F and 80° at the highest point right under the UVB.
he seemed happy! he was moving around, coming right into my hands, eating, drinking water, everything! i did definitely notice that he was VERY skinny, i can see his little hip bones, and seemed to be licking water off of EVERYTHING, he was obviously very very thirsty.
the next morning i woke up for work and he was sitting on the floor of his enclosure in the eco earth, i got closer and raised he had a MOUTH FULL OF ECO EARTH. i freaked out, and immediately took him out, and took the cotton off a qtip and used the plastic to try and get as much as i could out of his mouth. i got as much as i could out, then set up a temporary enclosure in the container the reptile store gave him to me in with paper towels, some branches, a piece of cork bark, some pangea, and i misted everything.
he definitely looks less dehydrated. but i’m not sure he’s eating? i try and give him little drops of his food off of a pipette and he doesn’t take it, so im not sure if he’s eating when im not around.
i also haven’t seen any poop in the temp enclosure, and i’m not sure if maybe he has a blockage from swallowing the eco earth, or he’s sick from the reptile store neglecting him?? it also looks like he’s trying to molt right now, and i’m not sure if that could be impacting that as well.
he has an actual small enclosure coming in the morning, and i think he’ll be less stressed in there.
any and all advice is welcome. i especially want to know how i can help him gain weight!!
first picture is immediately when i got him home, second 2-5 are in his hospital / temp set up featuring him getting angry with me for trying to feed him, but at least i could see he had no dirt in his mouth lol. and the last one is the 12x12x12 i got mostly set up for him.

hi everyone. i made a post a few days ago about a baby chameleon gecko. he was super skinny, dehydrated, and having problems getting around because of a local reptile store severely neglecting him. this is not a happy update unfortunately. the sweet baby ended up passing away on saturday morning. i believe he was probably sick from the poor conditions he was living in, and was just too far gone to survive.
i appreciate everyone who gave me advice and gave him love.
i called the reptile store i got him from and asked lots of questions, with no answers. i ended up getting a refund, but i would rather have my sweet boy. when i showed proof of them neglecting him, they folded and didn’t have anything to say to defend themselves.
my boyfriend ended up finding a 10 month old eury boy on morph market, and offered to get him for me so we can raise him in our previous baby’s honor.

First photo is pre-shed, second photo is post-shed (newest), third photo is another angle of the climbing space (though not all of it).

Brings so much joy to finally be a reptile keeper in some small way. Taking handling really slow, holding still nearby or offering food with my hand. I think the shed and found droppings mean he's doing well. It's hard to tell what's going on in that little cryptic brain or how far taming will go. Though it's still very early days, been a minute since I've handled a reptile but have fond memories with other kinds of geckos and snakes growing up.

Any other tips and pointers are welcome. Kinda surprising how simple it can be with these guys. I'm doing my best not to let this snowball and he will probably be my only reptile unless I ever seek a mate for him.

TLDR beginner keeper, sharing progress and open to any advice about taming or otherwise.

Hey I’m semi new to eurys and I’m pretty sure my guy is really under weight and I want to know suggestions on how to fatten him up a bit. He’s in a 12x12x24 with uvb and a basking light and I feed him Pangea. He’s looks very skinny to me and most times it looks like his food is untouched. He’s not really into bugs so I haven’t given him many. I tried dubia roaches and pin head crickets and he didn’t show much interest if any at all. I bought him early march and they told me he’s two years old.
