Dual wielding weapons

My friend and I started playing eldenring with easy coop mod about a week ago and found out that we can get every weapon 2 times (one out of each world) even if it is usually only obtainable once. So my question is is there any weapon that would be super op if you could have two of them?

I’m level 122 rn with 45 arcane and 50 strength

I am currently using the bleed build:

2 blood nagakibas

Sacred short sword ( just for golden vow)

Dragon communion seal

Amor:

White mask

Albrechts robe ( for swag🤙)

(From what I’ve heard so far you are supposed to have 51 poise, but I prefer to look good and have light load)

I also have lords of blood exultation but I don’t have the thing were you stab yourselves ( I think it’s called suppuku or something like that) yet and figured that It won’t make any sense to use it without the stabbing thing.

If you have any tips to improve my build or want to recommend a weapon for dual wielding, pls don’t spoil any part of the main story. ( I’m in the capital city atm)

Looking for an engaging/stimulating build

Hey all !

First off, I'm a decently experienced Elden Ring player, having finished the game a few times before the DLC dropped. I bought the DLC but haven't played it since then.

Since it's been some time, I decided to start a fresh character for the DLC, but I didn't find one that kept me engaged, interested, long enough to actually reach the DLC. Yes, I know I can reach it in only a few hours through Varré's quest, but I intend to actually have a full playthrough and fight Mohg when I'm roughly supposed to. And since I'm kind of a completionist, this is gonna take about 70 or 80 hours (at least) : my main playthrough on the base game lasted 160h (INT-STR mage-knight build).

I generally like spellswords kinda builds : straight swords (sometimes greatswords) in the main hand, spell (sorceries or incantations, I've done both) in the other. I'm a big fan of parrying as well (and got pretty decent at it).

So the question is : what build do you find most engaging, interesting on the long run ?

TLDR : I'm trying to find a build that will keep me interested for several dozens of hours in order to do a new full playthrough.

Is this build good enough for Malenia on ng+?

(armor just here for how it looks, trying to get faith so I don't need the faith crystal tear and endurance to wear the last piece of the armor set )

Frost samurai help

Hey guys I got this idea for a frost samurai but don't really know how to go about it.

I know I want to use the nagakiba with the chilling mist ash of war and a black bow for range but don't know if I should go:

Keen affinity and put all points to dex

Cold affinity and split points between dex and int

Cold affinity and still put all points into dex

I want to use this for PVE and the dlc which I've never played before.

Can I make an INT/FAI build based on Erdtree dagger?

I havent played the game but watched people playing.

I wanna play a Golden Order Fundamentalist which focuses on Faith and Intelligence (I know it may not be optimal but I care more about the lore).

I'd like to use the Golden Order school and somehow the Erdtree Dagger. But I'd also like to have a source of magic damage rather than pure faith/holy.

I understand the physical part of the Erdtree dagger scales with faith and adding a sacred affinity would make the numbers (elemental + physical) scale twice.

But I really want INT and Magic damage to play a role but I don't know how yet. So golden order seal, erdsteel dagger, how can I have this little glintstone touch?

Will the erdsteel dagger lose its properties if I infuse it with magic damage?

What do y’all think?

Hey y’all. This is my second run though and decided to try my hand at battle mage. I’m freaking loving it!! What do you think of the build and the spread? Any improvements I could make? Left handing a Academy Glintstone Staff +17

Getting back into Elden Ring after a year break. I have the vision of a longsword, bow (not great bow) ranger with a hint of magic.

My plan is to have a ranger survivalist type character. Explore and scavange everything, use lots of crafting and consumables, summons, basically anything to my advantage with still fitting the role.

I like the idea of throwing some magic in because, as a wild man of the lands between, why wouldn't he use some magic to his advantage if it makes his journey easier. I'm thinking a few utility spells and a damage spell or two. I know there's a wiki with all of the spells but there's a lot to keep track of and don't have much memory of them.

Current gear is broadsword, shortbow and patches armor. I'm going to mainly level dex, but not sure if I should do it or faith as a secondary.

Any thoughts for or input for more ideas on the build? Chime in!

Suggestions for unusual pure mage build?

After almostt a year from my second playthrough of the game I decided to do another mage playthrough and I can't decide what theme to build it around. Any ideas?

(Do not really want to do a spellblade, more like pure sorcerer. And of course, wretch start regionlocked as I always do).

No magic, just a blade?

In running my first play through. DLC and base game with an INT build. Carian scepter and DMGS. Lvl is now 210.

I made an earlier thread asking a out ng+ builds, mostly around faith. Switching from int to faith would be a fun change. Lately im wondering if its more of the same type of experience however.

Id probably use the blasphamous sword, and incantations. Drawback, super OP and a distanced playing style.

My scudutree level is 12 and I started playing the DLC with a knights twinblade dual handed. I rarely use my staff rn, only for distant enemies, or I run them down and slice them up. Its fun! And a new challenge because dodging and close quarter attacking is different from what Im used too.

My DMGS is so OP, I just slash everything with arcs.

I know nothing about arcane, dex, strength.

What if I ditch magic and incantations and playthrough with a dual blade and focus on close quarter direct combat to eliminate my enemies.

What would my states look like?

What twinblades are the best?

I have all of them... the black twinblade looks cool, so does eleanors blood twinblade. I have all the gargoyles etc.

I could max the level on a few depending on scenario (if I need fire buff vs bleed vs something else) and switch between them.

What does this type of build look like?

Id have enough levels for some arcane or faith to use a seel if need be, but want to focus on swording!

Or, I could use rellanas twinblades?

Anyone feel I should stick with trying faith and swapping 80 int for faith?

Or should I give a bad ass twinblade a go. (There more fun than katanas etc)

Im also thinking of switching my build now! To finish the dlc and main game before entering ng+ rather than waiting.

Also, how do you break stance attacks with the twinblade? Ive never used a shield, I dont know how this stuff works?

And what talismans do I use if Im ditching magic etc.

I have the rotten winged insignia, and Ill go after the two handed talisman in the dlc.

Thanks guys!

Best armour, stats, incantations, talismans, arnaments and Aows for Uchigatana, Nagakiba and Bloodhound's fang?

So I just started playing Elden Ring 3 days ago, and I am playing with Uchigatana, Nagakiba and bloodhound's fang (Main weapon). What is the best AoW for Nagakiba and Uchigatana? And how should I distribute my stats and find good armour?

Currently after some research over here and there, this is what came to my mind:

Weapons:

Bloodhound's fang +10, with flame grant me strength, and bloodflame blade and golden vow.

Uchigatana with unsheathe trying to get 25+ flame grant me strength, and bloodflame blade and golden vow.

Nagakiba with seppuku trying to get 25+ flame grant me strength, and bloodflame blade and golden vow.

Talismans: Lord of Blood's Exultation, DragonCrest Greatshield, Shard of Alexander and Carian Filigreed Crest.

Stats: Mainly based around dex, str and vig with some endurance.

Seal: Frenzied Flame Seal or Finger seal

Armour: Skeletal Mask, Blaiid's armour and gauntlet and night's cavalry greaves (Following a guide online mainly for bloodhounds fang.)

So what do you guys think? As a new player, I want to try out all these weapons after hearing many popular takes. And please note, that this is what I eventually got from different people and most of these things will probably clash with each other, so go easy on me. ; )

What's a good build for dex/int with a Cold affinity Milady?

I wanna run a build with a cold milady (focusing more on actually fighting than casting sorceries), what would a good build (skills, talismans, etc.) be? I'm level 107 right now if that helps at all

Honk Bonk Meme Build

Back story, my nickname from my spouse is goose and I've been on another elden ring kick and had an idea I find hilarious based on the silly "mess with the honk you get the bonk" image

I want to make a character that focuses around roar attacks/skills as much as possible and use a big hefty weapon. It also has to be as goofy as possible. For the pure goofy factor i had the idea of using the colossal bubble weapon. But also I know there's some good roar options in the ashes of war.

Any suggestions for making the silliest honk bonk PVE build possible?

Going for pure Dex, is Lightning or Keen better in general?

Literally never used a Dex build in any FromSoft game, so I have no idea what I'm doing XD

But with Elden Ring specifically, is Lightning better than Keen, for Dex? Going for an eventual stat spread of:

- 60 Vigour

- 22 Mind

- 30 Endurance

- 10 Strength

- 80 Dexterity

- 10 Intelligence

- 8 Faith

- 9 Arcane

Want to rate my build or suggest respec?

Feel like level 120+ should be stronger, did I build poorly? 😅 Tried for strength/faith/survivability and struggling against late bosses. Not typically a pvp person in general, never good at it.
