Doubt regarding EY GDS variable pay and annual hike

Hello everyone,

HR told me that I would get 10% minimum VP and it can go up to 30 % based on the rating. Can anyone tell me if the 10% is standard and we get it even if we get the basic rating and what would be the average annual hike based on the rating.

It would really help me . Thank you

Offer letter Not received

I have interviewed my 2nd round on last Tuesday, and I filled CIS form, HR discussion happened, salary finalised and HR said it will take 2-3 days to get the approval to role out OL, my Bg verification has been updated yesterday and the status at EY careers says I am into hiring phase of interview.
When can I expect offer letter?

How is SAP practice in EY GDS ?

Hi,

I am joining EY GDS as Senior Con 3 next week, would like to know how is SAP practice in EY GDS, in terms of implementation, rollout etc. I don't have much expectations I am joining with expectations that where ever I go, I have to work and give me my 100% that's it, but I am curious to know how is SAP practice in GDS because it's been 7 years in SAP domain, I haven't met any other SAP Consultant from EY in Global Presence. So please share some details.

Thanks.

Regarding interview Reschedule

I had an interview scheduled for tomorrrow and requested a reschedule through email. I sent the mail to the email ID mentioned for rescheduling with HR in CC

After some time, I received an email from EYsupport saying thatt

“this is your ref number” and “We will be in contact with you shortly.”

Does this mean my reschedule request has been accepted and they’ll get back to me with a new interview slot? Has anyone received a similar mail before

I have completed the T1 and T2 interview rounds for an O365 Developer role and recently received the CIS form. After filling it out, HR asked me to share my current offer letter and salary slips.

My current compensation/details:

7.5 LPA fixed salary

Official notice period: 90 days

I informed HR that I can try to negotiate an early release and reduce it to around 60 days after discussing with my manager/team lead

Expected salary quoted: 14 LPA

I also had a transparent discussion with HR from the beginning. I clearly told them that I would resign from my current organization only after receiving the official offer letter from their side. HR acknowledged this and said that was fine.

Now HR has informed me that my profile needs to go through a 4-stage approval process because of the salary hike and notice period, and it may take around 1–10 days.

I wanted advice from people who have been in similar situations:

Is this approval process normal for higher salary hikes?

Does this usually indicate positive movement, or is it just an internal formality?

Should I negotiate again right now, or wait for the official offer?

How can I strongly justify 14 LPA from 7.5 LPA without sounding too aggressive?

What are the best salary negotiation strategies in this situation?

Does the long notice period create major issues even if I can reduce it to 60 days?

Was it the right decision to clearly tell HR that I would resign only after receiving the offer letter?

For context, I have around 4 years of experience and have already cleared the initial technical rounds.

What’s actually going on with EY GDS? Freshers are genuinely scared.

I’m a fresher selected for EY GDS, and honestly, every second post on EY GDS sub about the company is either: • delayed offer letters, • no updates after filling the CIS form, • onboarding delays, • or people talking about stress/burnout.

At this point it’s genuinely becoming scary.😭

I understand that Big 4 firms are demanding and underpay freshers initially compared to the workload. That part I had mentally prepared for. But what’s worrying me more is the complete uncertainty and lack of communication people keep talking about.

Some people say they waited months after documentation. Some say HR completely ghosted them. ⁉️Others talk about horrible work-life balance, toxic teams, night calls, etc. Then there are also people saying GDS is still a good starting point for learning and career growth.

As someone who hasn’t received joining details yet, all these posts are honestly increasing anxiety. Like what exactly is wrong with EY GDS? 🙂🙂Is it genuinely that bad, or is Reddit naturally biased towards negative experiences because satisfied employees don’t post much?

And realistically, what are freshers supposed to do? The market is already difficult, and many of us don’t exactly have multiple offers lined up.

Would genuinely appreciate honest opinions from current employees or ex-employees: • How bad is the onboarding situation really? • Is the work culture team-dependent? • Is the stress manageable for freshers? • Does the brand name and experience eventually make it worth it?

Not looking for sugarcoating its just that I want realistic perspectives.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask people who got selected for full-time roles at EY GDS through on-campus placements last year (2025 graduating batch) — approximately when did your joining process/start date happen?

I’m a 2026 graduate. Our campus recruitment process was completed in October 2025, and I received my LOI in early February 2026. However, I still haven’t received any updates regarding the final joining letter or onboarding timeline.

Would really appreciate if anyone could share their experience or timeline. Thanks in advance!

Case study insights required for Manager Financial Due Diligence interview

Looking to seek insights from professionals in the Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence space across Europe and the UK.

I am currently interviewing with EY for a Manager role in Financial Due Diligence and have an upcoming case study assessment that is expected to run for ~3 hours. Would really appreciate guidance from the community, especially from people who have gone through similar Big Four FDD manager assessments recently.

A bit about my background:

  • Chartered Accountant
  • 6+ years of experience in Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence
  • Extensive exposure to PE and VC-led buy-side and sell-side diligence engagements
  • Experience managing teams and handling multiple concurrent engagements
  • However, I come from a non-Big Four background and am trying to understand how these assessments are specifically structured within EY / Big Four environments.

I understand that QoE, Working Capital, Net Debt, EBITDA normalization, and key commercial/business drivers will likely form the core of the exercise. However, I am looking for more specific insights around:

  • What exactly does the 3-hour case study usually entail?
  • Is it more Excel-heavy, report-writing-heavy, or presentation-heavy?
  • How deep is the accounting analysis expected to go?
  • Are candidates expected to prepare a mini FDD report / red flag report?
  • How much focus is placed on storytelling and commercial insights vs pure technical analysis?
  • What differentiates a strong Manager-level candidate from a Senior Associate-level candidate in these assessments?
  • Any common pitfalls candidates underestimate?

Would especially value perspectives from EY TS/FDD professionals in the UK/Europe market, or anyone who has recently gone through Manager-level interviews at Big Four firms.

Thanks in advance!

I served as Contractor this audit season at EY GDS. it's been a month since I'm unemployed. I got an offer from Grant Thornton GT Global Audit delivery team.

But my heart still wants EY GDS. Senior mentioned that they will rehire you probably after 1-2 months as per your feedback and requirement.

what should I do ? Accept GT or wait for GDS offer

My worries - What if I accept the GT offer and later receive offer from EY too? or vice versa

CIS form EY GDS

I interviewed for SAP basis senior position in EYGDS on 16th April it was my first round, and my second round was on 28th April. After that I received the CIS form. I filled it and on Tuesday, 5th May, I received a call from HR for salary negotiations. I told her about my expectations and she told me she’ll get back to me and her last question was what was my notice period. So I’m currently working and I haven’t resigned from my firm yet after listening to that. She said she needs to check it in a disappointing tone, but before interviews, it was very clear that I am currently working and my notice period is 90 days should I expect offer from EY or not as the HR is not picking up my call.

I interviewed on February 27 and completed the CIS form, followed by a salary discussion. After that, communication stopped. Earlier, I was told there were no budget constraints, but later HR mentioned my expectations were too high and ended the discussion without negotiation.

Recently, I received an email stating that my profile has been forwarded for other senior roles, and my application status now shows “Background Verification in Progress.”

Could someone please clarify if there is still a possibility of receiving an offer?

What exactly does TCF at EY GDS work on?

So as the title says, what exactly TCF (Transaction Corporate Finance) in EY GDS is responsible for? Is it due diligence, valuations, business modelling or M&A advisory?

How are the hours over there.

I’m especially asking for the Gurugram office.

Hi everyone,

I currently have two offers and could use some advice. One is from PwC India (Kolkata) for a Senior Associate Advisory role, and the other is from EY GDS (Hyderabad).

I have been working in Hyderabad for the last four years. My current CTC is 13.5 LPA. PwC is offering a fixed salary of 16.1 LPA plus 4 LPA as a variable (totaling approximately 20.6 LPA). EY is offering a fixed salary of 17 LPA.

Since I am already based in Hyderabad and working in cybersecurity, I am confused about which one to join. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

So one recruiter forwarded my application for Sr Manager. After 2 days I got a call from another recruiter, she forwarded my application for Sr Consultant. I gave interview for Sr consultant. As of now nothing i heard back for Sr manager role.

The interview for Sr consultant went well. I explained rate limitting implementation in fastapi. Answered every question in detail and structured way.

After a day, the recruiter is saying we cannot move your application forward because some other vendor has your profile and if I qualify, they will not get the money. I asked them to do something, like contact that vendor or HR to cancel that application and move forward with consultant. Nothing , simply she said we cannot do anything.

I dont have POC to contact or even know the feedback for my interview. This is fr not acceptable.

Experiences like this makes people do scam.
