I’m considering setting up a company to invest in residential and commercial real estate, starting in Pune and eventually expanding to other Tier 1 cities. My plan is to invest around ₹50–60 lakhs of my own capital and finance the remaining amount through a loan.
The idea is that rental income from these properties would cover the EMIs, while over time both the property value and rental yields would appreciate. This would allow me to build a portfolio of properties in Tier 1 cities while putting otherwise idle cash to productive use.
Can a private limited company take a home loan or property loan in India? If yes, what are the typical interest rates compared to individual home loans?
Financially and practically, is this strategy something that can actually work?
