Epfo rejected form 13 fund transfer for Eps deduction which is done correctly

Epfo rejected form 13 fund transfer for Eps deduction which is done correctly

Hi All,

My recent pf transfer request got rejected with comments...

Higher wages member why eps deduction.

Background:

Till now they were rejecting for missing annexure k and eps. God knows if that is fixed or not.

I started my career in 2012 and since then I had eps deduction in every job irrespective of my payscale.

I understand that once you become part of eps, the deduction should continue in subsequent jobs irrespective of the payscale.

I fail to understand why epfo rejected my transfer request when eps deduction are done properly. Don't they have the service history to verify this ?

Suggest me what I can do as a member to get my pf transferred?

Updated details below

Company PF transferred Contributed to EPS (Y/N) Basic Salary Below 15000? DOJ DOL
A Yes to B Y Y 20 Feb 12 27 Oct 17
B No, stuck trying to transfer to F Y N 06 Nov 17 18 Nov 20
C Yes Y N 23-Nov-20 07-Jun-21
D Yes Y N 14-Jun-21 26-Nov-21
E Yes Y N 6-Dec-21 3-nov-23
F No (Current Company) Y N 6-nov-23 Present

Note -

  1. UAN is same for all companies. In A , PF is managed through trust, rest B-F through EPFO.
  2. Company B and F are same, the PF account number differs. Currently PF amount is in B and F only rest other PF amounts are transferred to F. Goal is to consolidate all PF to Company F PF account.
  3. Basic Salary + DA @ Company A was below 7730 and 1100 respectively, PF contribution was 1060. Hence subscribed to EPS.

Can I discontinue EPS by withdrawing it before 10years of service?

Can I withdraw full EPS contribution after 8yrs of service, not EPF?

If yes, and I withdraw EPS now, will my next employer have to contribute to eps or can it be skipped, given my next employer's salary is greater than 15000 per month?

My intent is to discontinue EPS in the future, which I was subscribed to because of my starting lower salary.

Hello Everyone,

Recently my PF transfer got rejected due to EPS contribution remittance was not done by my previous employer.

For context, my 1st employer contributed to EPS (which I didn't know until a few days ago). I was able to successfully transfer PF and EPS service history from 1st to 2nd employer. But 2nd employer did not contribute to my EPS. Both are trust.

Now, when I try to transfer the PF from 2nd to 3rd employer (current) it got rejected due to the above reason. When I checked with the retirals team, they mentioned that PF amount has been transferred and asked to ignore the message. Which seems true because I checked in the Alumni portal where it shows the PF amount to be 0.

My queries are,

  1. How should I rectify this whole situation?
  2. My current company is not contributing to EPS. How should I fix this?
  3. Should I ignore the rejection like my previous company says?
  4. Should I also inform my current company about this and ask them to contribute to EPS? They are currently not contributing as checked in the PF portal.

Thanks in advance for your responses. I know I've not been the brightest in this case but I would like to rectify this mess I've created and would appreciate all the help I can get.

Update: Sharing the table

Company Transferred Contributed to EPS (Y/N) Basic Salary Below 15000? Transferred In Transferred Out DOJ DOL
A Yes Y Y N Y 08/2021 08/2024
B No N N Y N 09/2024 02/2026
C - N N N - 02/2024 Present

A and B are trusts so we will not be able to see the records. However, DOJ DOE for EPS is present for both. I say A contributed to Pension because I see Pension number and the amount in documents.

Anyone please help me I’m currently facing an issue logging into my EPFO passbook portal. I urgently need to access and submit my passbook for my new job, but I haven’t been able to log in despite changing my password multiple times (4 times in the last 7 days).

Hi Everyone, I really need some clarification and help regarding EPS activated on EPFO portal.

My first company started PF on 25th July, 2023 but on 27th August, 2026 i left the company and started worki.ng at new company since April 14th.

My first company activated my EPS and deposited 1250 rs every month in EPS and 550 rs in PF and in member passbook in EPF wages and EPS wages my salary is mentioned as 15000 rs but on my salary slip my basic salary is mentioned 25100 throughout my tenure with first company.

My Second company(new company) said you were not eligible for EPS before and you are not eligible now and they will deposit their part of the PF i.e. 1800 PF only and they told me to get it rectified from previous organization so that i don't face issues in future.

When i called previous company they told me from their side it was correctly deposited under EPS as they capped my wages to 15000 ceiling limit so as per law they were right to contribute their part to EPS.

Please help i want to know what and who is in the right here and what shall i do now as my new company has already initiated the PF.

Hi everyone,

I’ve worked at two companies so far. In my first company, my basic salary was above ₹20,000, but HR mistakenly enrolled me in the EPS under PF.

That company shut down after about 6 months, and I’ve since moved to a new company. Now I’m trying to transfer my PF balance from the old account to the new one, but I’m facing issues because of this EPS enrollment.

Most advice I’ve seen suggests contacting the previous employer to correct it but since the company is closed, I’m not sure how to proceed.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? How did you resolve it?

Did you get help directly from EPFO or through any PF consultants/agents?

Any guidance would really help.

Edit: Added My Payslip salary of my previous company and PF passbook for reference.

I have worked in 3 orgs till date.

Org1 : private trust. Withdrawn complete amount

Org2 : withdrawn complete amt

Org3 : resigned 2 months back and tried to withdraw and got above rejection

Was eps member since org1 and it continued till org3

Now, When I withdrew org2 i don’t recall Merging org1 into org2. And i was still able to withdraw . May be lucky ? Or may be it was done by org2 ?

Now i know how to merge pf from prev orgs, i want to know which all pf were merged previously?

And as final step should I do following if no merge have happened in past

- merge org1 and org2 into org3

- raise form19 for org3

Should I also raise a grievance once I get form-k after step 1? Pls guide

I worked for CSC in Chennai for 1 year and now it is a part of DXC. At that time, it did not have a UAN number. Now, how can I withdraw it? And if there is any mismatch (I think there is one), how to proceed with the things?

Thank you!
