I'm building a DSP-inspired game with KSP-inspired physics - here's the new teaser trailer

Way back in December I posted my old teaser here and received an incredible amount of positive feedback, so I'm excited to share this new trailer with you for Launch Window!

It's basically a mixture of some of my favourite games (DSP/KSP/Factorio), where you can automate orbital routes between planets to feed and expand your colony. The distinction is that ships can only travel via orbital physics, meaning timing is very important.

Currently in early development, so there are a lot of features in the wings I've yet to share, but I hope you enjoy a peek at how it's looking right now!

War in Heaven (21 hours in a max settings Dark Fog game)

First pic is after I took out 4 of 14 bases on my titanium world. I left to refill a few items from my home world after an hour of constant fighting as the hive attacked both planets from space.

This is the most fun and challenge I have had in a long time gaming. Death to all Xenos.

Logistic circuit that matches output of one item to another regardless of overflow or underflow

I made a thing that matches throughput of item 1 (red matrices in the vid) to the throughput of item 2 (blue matrices) regardless of overflow or underflow of item 2. More specifically, throughput of item 1 does not exceed throughput of item 2.

This can be used for example to supply fuel or graviton lens only when universe matrices are consumed. This way, if you pause research or matrices stop being produced, you will not waste resources on extra power.

The key idea behind this is to use splitter's ability to entangle together 2 different items, and then another splitter to disentangle them.

So, if we entangle items 1 & 2 and item 2 overflows, item 1 will no longer pass. If there's not enough of item 2, we can substitute it with a placeholder item. If we then entangle 2 different placeholder items and make placeholder 2 take priority over item 1, the resulting logistic circuit will handle both underflow and overflow.

Game won’t launch.

I tried launching the game and it just loads up until 38% then it crashes. I’ve done the following things:

• Restart my PC

• Update my drivers

• Verify game file integrity

• Uninstall and manually delete all files related to DSP

• Reinstall

It’s starting to get frustrating since I’ve been searching for solutions but none seem to be working. Do you guys have any ideas on how I can fix this? I’d appreciate it a lot, thanks!

Late game - fps thoughts

I started playing after dark fog was introduced. And have always farmed the dark fog. So i rarely use the inbetween assembler or smelters , going straight to the dark fog versions.

So end game i have always had all my white science done by these dark fog machines.

Now to the question. In terms of fps - i don't suppose anyone has done a test, white science without the darkfog machines, and same white science through put but with dark fog machines (so smaller area footprint, but same white science out put) and tested to see if there is a difference in fps.

I ask because i have often felt that the dark fog machines , even though you need less of them) affect fps more.

Thoughts? or am i going mad?

Thought i was clever.

I put a bunch of crafters right next to each other so, for example, the coil assembler could take copper from the same belt that the smelters were dumping it onto. I Did this all the way up the crafting tree as often as possible. Little did I know how much that would screw me when it came time to use proliferators. Now im rebuilding entire production networks so the products can come out, get sprayed and go back in for the next step. If youre new, keep that in mind. Keep 2 or 3 spaces between each row for unforseen circumstances.

Harvest without cosmic exploration

Let's say I have warps, for me and my vessels (techs developed -both for me and for the vessel- and physic warps). If I flight to a system without cosmic exploration 3 tech -the one that allows you to see resources within 6 LY systems-, can I harvest it and send vessels there? I know the seed, and the resources all around as is a seed I already played.

Why do signal tower use power even if they are not connected to the grid

I put a tower off in the distance in case I needed it later. I noticed it was using power from the graph. Is this a bug, or purposeful?

Note the graph said it was using power, but it was not on. It wasn't lit up

Does anyone use orbital collecor?

Im fairly new but seem i have enough H to burn, literally. Powering 12 generators and making enough deut for icarus and a bunch of fusion reactors. Refined oil is where keep coming up short. Reformed refinery , i didn't think, was worth the effort, but the collectors, forget about it. Thoughts?

neutron stars

so is it at all possible to find a neutron star with high luminosity. i would love it if someone left a seed of one with high luminosity. as id love build around one as my main star. the looks so amazing its a waste not.
