The 2026 Formula 1 season has already produced major shifts in the championship picture, and the latest bookmakers’ odds now reflect the growing dominance of Mercedes and the rise of Kimi Antonelli.
His odds sit at around 6/5 ahead of teammate Russell who is now at around 9/4.
McLaren have moved into the closest chasers in the market whilst Ferrari take a drop.
Can Kimi win the title at 19 years old?

Miami marked Hadjar’s toughest Formula 1 weekend so far. Poor pace, a qualifying disqualification and a race-ending crash combined to create a difficult few days for the young Frenchman. Still, Red Bull insists there is no reason to panic.
“I don’t think we should qualify that as a worry,” Mekies said about Hadjar’s crash. “We had a tough weekend. This has not helped our performance. In terms of driving and in terms of rhythm, he still didn’t get into the right rhythm.”
Will Isack Hadjar become the next victim of the Red Bull second seat?

I’m sure it’s been asked here, but I really want to know your thoughts on the looks of the new car design. I personally really like them. The last few seasons they’ve just seemed way too overbuilt. The new design seems tighter and more streamlined. I’m just a fan and I don’t know anything besides what I like, and they’ve honestly always looked amazing overall throughout history. But what are your thoughts?

Miami offered a mix of strategy and wheel-to-wheel racing, while the recent energy management tweaks began to shape how drivers approached the race. The result was a clear picture of who is building momentum and who is falling behind.
Obvious winners were the likes of Kimi and McLaren whereas, obvious losers were Ferrari and Hadjar

I know I’m among F1 purists and aficionados here, so I understand if you hate me for asking, but I’d love to know what you think of Indy Cars?
They all work from the exact same chassis and there are only two engine manufacturers. Otherwise, they’re all basically the same cars. It really seems to come down to the teams and drivers more than anything. As far as overall speeds, they’re as fast if not faster than F1 cars in a much simpler package. Honest thoughts about Indy car? Sorry in advance if I’m breaking any rules here, I’m just a general auto racing fan and new to this subreddit...
Being close with lesser experience ≠ automatically becoming better
(This is more of a question to you guys than my actual opinion bcs i am genuinely confused. and i don't mean to challenge any driver's skill)
I feel like F1 fans use the “experience card” in a very inconsistent way.
Whenever a younger/less experienced driver gets close to an established one, people immediately jump to:
“Imagine how good they’ll be with more experience.”
any yes maybe that will be the case but it is not a guarantee?
with George/Kimi in 2026. Kimi is close to George already, that’s incredibly impressive and absolutely says a lot about his talent ceiling. But why does “close with less experience” automatically become “will definitely be better later”?
more prominent example would be lando and oscar last yr.
yes lando had 4 more yrs of experience than oscar but experience mostly improves things like consistency, race management, adaptability, tyre saving. And that ceiling you reach very soon if u r in front running car.
Drivers don’t just gain a few tenths every season forever.
Being close early on proves huge talent and adaptability. It does NOT automatically prove future superiority.
Kimi is very talented but ppl are seriously overestimating him right now. He has a lot to prove, he hasn't proven ENOUGH yet.
