I bought a 2022 Cupra Formentor 1.4 e-Hybrid last year, and just did its first annual service at an official CUPRA service centre in Portugal. Mileage: ~35,000 km.

Breakdown of costs:

• Engine oil change: €290
• Brake fluid change: €100
• Environmental fee: €25
• Misc. checks/inspection: €15

Total: €430

Overall, nothing unexpected, but I’m curious how this compares with others in Europe for similar PHEVs.

After loads of research, I finally ordered my 2022 1.4 hybrid formentor. I didn’t have a massive budget, but this will be the first car I’ve owned since I was 19 so I can’t wait. It might not be the highest spec and newest model, but anything will feel like a spaceship compared to the old polo I had over 15 years ago.

What are some things I should look out for once it arrive?

Has anyone put 245/45 r19 tires on their Formentor instead of recommended 245/40 r19 size? Did the comfort improve? The wheel arch seems large enough for 245/45 r19 to fit and not to rub to the sides.

I paid 920 Euros for the change of motor oil, gear oil and spark plugs. 2021 plugin model. Is this normal?

Edit 2: Thank you for your contributions. Seems to be at the upper end of the price range but not too expensive. Don't know though, if i will change the dsg oil again. Is this really necessary? I am driving automatic transmissions for ages but can't remember tho have tjat changed ever befor.

Which wheels do you think look best on a black Formentor?

I’m configuring mine at the moment and still have some doubts, mainly because I haven’t seen a black one in person with the 19” wheels yet.

These are the 4 wheel options available in my country for the 204hp e-Hybrid version.

From photos and videos, the 19” SANDSTORM Silver wheels look the least interesting to me. (In Copper, though, they seem much nicer).

At the moment I’m leaning towards option 4, because option 3 sometimes looks a bit too heavy on the copper accents in bright sunlight ( although that might just be the impression I get from photos and videos).

Still, I’d really like to hear your opinions, and if anyone has photos of their black Formentor , feel free to share 🙂

Since the car will be black, I feel like the copper details might suit it better than the silver ones, although I’m still not sure whether the 19” ARTIC Black/Copper actually looks better in real life than the 19” ARTIC Black/Silver.

I ordered a Cupra Formentor 1.5 Business with the Eclipse package and panoramic roof on 23-04-2026. What’s the expected delivery time it has to come to the Netherlands.

Considerings all the issues in the news?

Hi guys, I've been looking at these. I've driven the pre facelift and I find the ride really firm at comfort level(phev). I love how the car responds otherwise.

In the test drive, I drove the pre face lift normally like how I would normally drive. Going over road humps pre facelift is not fun.

Is the post face lift much better?

Edit: Is there a difference in the phev pre and post facelift comfort wise? I realised my post wasn't very clear.

I’m planning to buy a used 2024 facelifted Cupra Formentor 1.5 eTSI MHEV 150HP. The car currently has around 3,000 km on the clock and comes with a very high-spec configuration including Matrix headlights, DCC, electric seats, 360 camera, 19” wheels, etc.
I took the car for a full-day test drive and I can honestly say I really liked it. From a design perspective, it’s almost perfect in my opinion.
However, I noticed a few things that seemed strange for a car with such low mileage. I could hear some unusual noises coming from the ventilation system, and there were also some plastic/rattling sounds from the interior. Another thing I noticed is that when the car is stationary and I turn the steering wheel fully to one side, there’s a strange scraping/grinding-like noise. I’m wondering if this is normal or something I should be concerned about.
In general, I’d like to hear from facelift Formentor owners:

Are you satisfied with the car overall?
Have you experienced any issues or breakdowns?
Is the facelift model reliable so far?
What should I pay attention to before buying?
Are there any common problems or things I should avoid?

I mostly drive in the city, so I’m also interested in real-world fuel consumption of the 1.5 MHEV engine in urban driving.
