Civilization 7's "Time-Tested" civs created a new balance problem, but Firaxis found the ideal solution
The new Time-Tested Civs let you carry one faction through an entire Civilization 7 playthrough, but this required a unique bonuses rework.

Is it possible at all to completely destroy another Civ/remove them from the game/destroy their capital city? I destroyed all of Xerxes' settlements but the game wouldn't let me occupy his capital. I'm assuming this is intentional, or am I doing something wrong?
Tan solo quedan menos de dos semanas para que llegue!! Estoy deseando probar la actualización a ver qué tal 😃
Has anyone had a fair fight against the AI in the modern era?
I seem to have good wars during the first two ages but then as soon as the modern era hits I seem to be able to stream roller everyone and they don’t even resist. I haven’t seen many use aircraft etc.
I've been tracking this visual bug with the Library since launch. The model appears distorted/clipped at medium zoom levels (see red circle). The bug completely disappears when zooming in one step closer. This suggests a broken LOD (Level of Detail) mesh for the Library. Once the game switches to the high-detail model, it looks fine.
Anyone else seeing this? I'm on PC/ RTX3080.
This was a 51 pop city until Lafayette declared war yet again. He will not be doing that again.
None of the other AI leaders had any opinion of this at all, even those to whom he was allied, which seems absurd.
A lot of the kinks that I found annoying about the game when it first was released to have worked itself out and I do enjoy playing up to the modern age as soon as I get to the modern age I get very bored and feels like everything interesting that was happening in the first two errors goes out the window. Does anybody else experience this? How do I make the third era more fun and engaging. I feel a little stuck.
So the age just started and I picked a legacy card that gave me a free infantry unit and ranged unit in all my distant lands settlements. I also took one that changed my capital. As shown in the image, I got a free infantry and ranged unit in my distant lands and home lands settlements. My guess is that the game uses your capital’s location to determine distant lands and since my capital was being moved when the game checked which settlements to put the units in, it assumed all my settlements were distant lands. Either way, free units!
I'm playing as Rome into Spain, Exploration Age. I have 15/15 settlements. I know I can go over it at a hit to happiness, and I'm currently making 465 happiness a turn, so I could easily go over the cap. BUT, in general, the game punishes having too many settlements through a settlement cap (which I like a lot), BUT, it doesn't seem to give you anything to do if you're at cap and don't want to go over it. I should be able to get more in peace deals than settlements. I should be able to Vassalize them (if they're small enough), or ask for gold, or ask for favorable deals in food/science/culture etc. Unless I'm missing something, conquering cities is the only point to war, and I feel like there is great opportunities here to be a whole lot more (Paradox Interactive player here, if you couldn't tell). Thoughts? Am I missing something?
recently played a few games into modern and felt like AIR units were craaaaawling slow compared with every other unit animation.
is this a known issue? is there a mod anyone could point me to? I like to run through all the legacy paths on modern, and air is often necessary for the military one.
please & thank you,
Any info when couch co op might be available for PS5? Bought this assuming I could play with my wife; I should’ve checked first!
Thanks!
Is there any way to link conquered cities to road network? Conquered 2 cities( first game playing Charlemagne as Silla free ranged cavalry after 2 techs from happiness...sexy) and although one is directly on a road to my capital both my cities have no access to trade network. How do I fix? Or is the only viable early game civ conquerors the Roman's as the legions can build roads
