Cadmium/Selenium Mix?
This is a piece from the Federal "Patrician" set/design. Under 365nm it glows a nice bright orange. Is this a cadmium/selenium mix causing the orange?

I was hoping for uranium, but I'm not really disappointed. That cadmium/selenium glow is 🔥🔥🔥
Hey everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day. A decided to go wonder a little market today and found these two cute little vases for five dollars each. I’m not sure what they are, but I just thought they were nice and wanted to share. If anyone knows something about them it would be greatly appreciated if you could share. Thank you all.
Two of them are straight up cadmium. The Eye Winker from LG Wright looks to have some Boron Nitiride on the inside.
I believe this is an old oil lamp. The top appears burnt, the cork is dry and the glue holding top/bottom together. No makers mark I could see however.
Found it with about 1/2" of dirt on it. It has a crack but seems stable.
Not bad for $2 in my opinion
Just wanted to share =]
Got this out of a sellout from a glass collector … had Lots of murano. But I think this is Not Murano… I just Wonder.
It glows Strong (UV395), maybe someone came across it ?
It’s very heavy! Seems a lot of the red glass from Holmegaard has cadmium
Thought people would like this one! pictures dont do it justice, glows NEON orange irl.
Picked the chicken up at a Garage sale and the flower at Goodwill!
Hey everyone! I stumbled across this incredibly unique set today for $20 and had to share. It’s a vintage French display box of "Achate de Bohême" (Bohemian Agate) glass.
When I first tried to research the display card, Google Lens kept trying to tell me they were antique marbles because of the cutouts, but they are actually a set of six little bowls!
It turned out to be an amazing mixed-fluorescent set. The bottom right and top left bowls have that stunning, fiery cadmium glow that looks like absolute lava under the UV light. (There is also one screaming bright UG piece in the top right as a nice bonus!)
Has anyone else run into Bohemian Agate glass like this before? The swirling in the glass itself is just beautiful.
