Cadmium/Selenium Mix?

This is a piece from the Federal "Patrician" set/design. Under 365nm it glows a nice bright orange. Is this a cadmium/selenium mix causing the orange?

Jar of Marbles FB Marketplace Find

Got a steal on this blind buy from FB Marketplace.

My guess was correct that there were bound to be some nice glowing pieces in the big mason jar given all of the Akro Agate-esque marbles in view.

I'm about to go through the jar and sort the marbles with my girlfriend to find any damaged and non UV reactive marbles.

I have never seen any of the radioactive Fiestaware in the wild. Remembered my Radiacode 102 and just meandered around the Fiestaware booth at my local antique spot. Was fun hunting down the sources. Outside of this picture, there was a moderate sized bowl as well. Both out of my price range as I am not a high dollar collector so they stayed on their shelves. Limited on space too, so I'll wait it out to find a mug for my collection.

Just wanted to share because I got very excited that bringing my Radiacode with me led to a cool find.

I ended up with a nice cadmium ruby juice cup for $6 instead haha.

My sister has wanted some Chilean Lapis Lazuli for some time. Afghan is easy to find, but I don't care for the ethical issues coming along with purchasing Afghan Lapis Lazuli.

I found some Chilean pieces and got some for myself as well as my sister. Given the high amount of calcite in Chilean Lapis Lazuli. The specks of calcite inclusions give almost a fiery lava effect under LW Filtered 365nm UV light, when in the dark. The smaller piece, got me excited when I put my light on it. Beautiful yellow fluorescence, just like some Barite I have from Morocco. The yellow fluorescence is Wollastonite. These are my first Lapis Lazuli pieces and I had a blast just staring and inspecting and using my light for quite a while. I hope y'all find it to be neat. If I had a SW UV light, it'd be cool to see if theres any more fun colors or hidden minerals.

Thanks for looking!

Lights: Convoy C8+ 365nm and Darkbeam Mini Filtered 356nm
