Help y’all, I’ve been trying Buldak Carbonara Flavored Ramen multiple times, & my spice tolerance is still not building up.

My body would normally have just a runny nose, my lips or mouth would feel a tad bit hot, and then having a warm blush feeling on my face. That’s it. No issues with the insides whatsoever.

But with Buldak Carbonara flavored ramen, I used all of the whole sauce packet every singular time, use the whole cheese packet every singular time, and guess what???

My spice tolerance ain’t building up, and all I end up doing is either running for the dairy products & soymilk, my insides get tossed around like clothes on a washer, or I get both outcomes. It sucks ass!!!!

Will my spice tolerance go higher, will I be stuck like this for life, how long will it take for me to stop doing those two things altogether.

After all, as an autistic person, who is also an extremely picky eater, I’ve been trying to gain my spice tolerance higher and higher for other cuisines and dishes that are far spicier than this. It just seems that this thing of Korean ramen noodles is just kicking my ass.

Oh and by the way, I ate this ramen 10 times already and my spice tolerance is still eating dogshit. I’m tired of it, it’s infuriating me, and I need help!!!!

What is the worst Worst buldak you‘ve ever tried?

I’ve never really tried any other Buldaks, except for the Carbonara! I managed to eat the entire thing but my tongue felt like it was burning so I had to chug down Cold Pepsi, it was temporary and it worked but I had to take a quick pause after each bite, I’m probably going to try the 2X spicy one, maybe even other Buldaks!! but. What is the worst buldak you have ever tried? Was it spicy or just.. too bland? Leave an answer below!

Found em at Walmart and made the corn flavor tonight

These got some heat to them 🔥....but the taste is great..almost like a plain frito with cheese. My only complaint is how little one box makes, compared to a box of regular Kraft Dinner.. considering they're $2.50 a box. Would definitely need to cook up 2 or even 3 boxes to make it an actual filling meal.

What is your favorite flavor of buldak/what's your favorite toppings?

I personally love the curry buldak and the stew buldak. I wish they would bring them back as I could only find them on Amazon and I'm in Missouri. I haven't found any Korean or Asian markets in my city. As for toppings I love mini sausages, bibigo wontons, green onions, cheese and soy sauce. I want them to bring back the curry and stew type ones back soon. I love the other flowers but those two were the absolute best. I'd buy multiple packs of the stew at a time especially and the curry reminds me of my brother who moved.

The Return of Quattro!!!

I’m so happy to see Quattro Cheese back on the shelves again. I haven’t had any in over a year, due to not being able to find it anywhere. I’ve had to settle for the regular cheese one, but they both make a great combo! 🧀

My review of the 3X

I enjoy spicy foods and like eating Buldak from time to time. I can usually handle the 2x pretty well, so I thought I would take a shot at the 3x to really push my limits. This stuff was an absolute nightmare.

I was confident going in, I thought “its probably the same as the 2x”. You don’t really notice how hot it is until halfway through eating. Visibly I was pouring sweat (the 2x doesn’t do that to me). What really stood out to me was the 48 hours of stomach pain that followed and I was pretty much on and off the toilet for the same amount of time. The initial heat isn’t really the bad part, more so the aftermath.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy these again, but if you like heat and a challenge, maybe pick these up. But I am warning you ahead of time that the stomach pain and trips to the bathroom are simply brutal.

Judge me by my noodle cache.

I only eat one pack every 3-4 days, drink about 80 fl oz of water per day, and otherwise prioritize protein, fiber and vitamins in the rest of my diet.

Right now I have:

Buldak Rosé x1 Buldak Carbonara x1 Buldak Cream Carbonara x5 Buldak Cheese x2 Buldak Quattro Cheese x5 Buldak Original x1 Nongshim Neoguri x1 Nongshim Chapagetti x1 Paldo Jjajangmen x4

Full English Buldakfast

Rosé Buldak, Heinz Chilli Beans (added some extra chilli flakes to that), smoked streaky bacon, black pudding, fried mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and buttered toast.

Technically not a *full* English breakfast because I don't like eggs and we didn't have any sausages.

Wasn't my best Buldak creation and was a lot of effort, so unlikely to do this again. (Though the bacon, black pudding, and Buldak combo I've had a couple of times before and it's great.)

Two cheddar-topped chilli-infused smash burgers layered with Quattro Cheese Buldak with extra hot chilli sauce in a seseme seed bun.

Corn Mac & Cheese

I never got to try the corn ramen so I’m just imagining it’s the same flavor. I like it. 7.5/10. Not terrible, not amazing. Would I buy it again? Probably not lol but worth trying.

u/Rich661 — 2 days ago

All you need is water and the cheese and sauce packets that are included. Definitely spicier than I was expecting, tastes just like the ramen. Solid 8.5/10!

Trying 2x (modified)

so my first buldak was habanero lime and I actually liked it and so when I tried carbonara which was my second it didn't feel spicy enough. I ventured to try 2x but I know I can't handle it straight up so I modified it by adding 1/3 block of cream cheese and a slice of American. this was I can actually enjoy some of the flavor and taste some of the flavor. so far so good. it definitely is strong but I will spend an hour eating it.

somebody tell me are they able to enjoy this with no modifications?? I wanna do dat someday
