Any other similar effect cards in Azorius colours?
Looking for my Bruna deck as these are essentially tutoring me 3/4 aura's (although intution is way too expensive of a card to buy)

I've been looking to build this little book cause he honestly seems super fun but I don't want to necessarily hit it with the normal spice but go out of my way to make it super spicy. Please show me your builds :)
Pulled this in my pre release kit. I'd love to make a deck out of it. Any ideas on a win condition budget would be $100
Hi guys, i was wondering if any of you attempted to build this beauty with 50$. I've seen some lists under 30$ and a lot over 100$, but my budget at the moment is in the middle. Thanks.
Wanted to try to make a colorless deck and saw page and thought it would be fun since it means you're guaranteed ramp turn 2. Pair that with a lot of 4 mana ramp, and you'll usually have at least 7 mana turn 4, which again can be used for more ramp, or some of the cheaper threats.
I don't usually build decks at this budget, however the lack of options in colorless made it kinda necessary for the power I try to get.
Page is obviously not that strong, but that means it's fine if your commander gets removed, which is something I've been looking for.
I’ve wanted to build a silverquill deck ever sense the elder dragons where leaked. I’ve been playing magic for 2 years but I’ve only used precons and I wanted to dip my toes into building my own deck. I got a strixhaven booster box and I want to use the prepared creatures spells to trigger the casualty 1 but I wanted to know any cards that could help me reliably create creatures to sacrifice or creatures that trigger off of sacrifices. I also have put a bunch of control into it but haven’t thought of any win cons. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Hey everyone!
Now that Strixhaven is here, what commander is everyone building? Are you building one of the new commanders or are you working on an older commander?
I've recently really enjoyed more "value" commanders, so the new Elder Dragons really spoke to me. But, given their high cmc, I feel like I might chase that high elsewhere. Still not sure what yet, though.
Hello, I'm looking for help with this question. If I have Burakos on the table and, let's say, I control 3 warriors, and he attacks... how many treasures would I create? 3 because they all join the party? Or 1 because there's only 1 warrior (not counting the commander)? And if I have a full party and add a fifth creature, how many treasures would I create, 4 or 5? I'm not sure if I explained myself well, but I would appreciate your help.I'm relatively new to the game
I'm somewhat new to magic and got this card recently and would love to make a cute animals deck. The people I play with are usually high bracket 3 or low bracket 4 so I need to build something decently strong. They're cool with proxies so anything is fine.
I searched around for otter decks or wizard decks but I'm not sure which direction this is supposed to go. I heard this is a really good card and read the combos, but is the good part just that one combo to get infinite damage? Or is it good generally?
Just making decks for fun and tried to do the Capitoline Triad on a budget. I goldfished it a bit, but I can't get the emblem in a reasonable number of turns. Any help would be appreciated!
Hey y'all.
Amateur here seeking advice for a [[Doran, Besieged by Time]] budget deck I'm working on. My goal is to make it a fairly straightforward combat focused deck that can hold its own at a (low) bracket 3 table. I've been trying to cut the deck down to 100 cards while focusing on keeping the tree and nature "flavor" as much as possible and getting rid of most generic cards, but I'm afraid the deck has lost some focus and has become quite weak. I'm willing to add any cards back if they are useful enough to be worth it.
My current wincons are buffing my big butt trees and swinging with trample or possibly direct damage with [[Catapult Captain]] or [[Jaws of Defeat]].
The price currently sits around $35. I'm happy if it's under $50 so I have some wiggle room for swaps.
What cards are easy cuts?
What cards are must-adds?
Any other major issues you notice?
I'm grateful for any and all suggestions.
The purpose of a precon is to attract new players, it's counterproductive for stores/distributors to price beginners out. The value is also unimpressive, your paying more for land tax, animate dead, and 3 lousy duel lands. Not a fan of land tax, think the card sucks. I havn't played it since commander became a format due to its low game impact. The lands get under my skin bc they also account for part of the 10 exclusive cards. I also find a lot of politics cards to be clunky.

My buddy is trying to make a bracket 2 budget ($100 or less)
The only rule is NO OTHER CREATURES BESIDES WALLS (Excluding the commander, of course)
Any other permanents that might be good additions, as well as maybe some artifacts?
So far, the main idea is to protect the commander so the walls can both defend and do all the work. And if one goes down, another will come up soon.
Title says it all really
I play mostly Bracket 3-4 with friends, and lose often. These two decks I built seem strong, but I haven't bought the cards for them yet. Which one should I get? Are there any cheap cards I should get that would go well in these decks? Each would set me back around $25. Vren wins with combat damage rat token stompy, and Gorma is straight infinite combo. The whole idea came about me wanting to see if it was possible to have an otter commander be able to “throw” their pebbles (since they like rocks lol)
I placed some restrictions for myself like not having that many non otter creatures in the deck to really feel like whatever source of damage I make comes from the otter.
Unfortunately, there’s just not a lot of synergy here. I didn’t care about “Prowess” since I don’t want to focus on combat damage. I really want the deck to feel like I’m creating rocks, treasures, shiny thing, and throwing them at my opponents for the win.
Let me know if you have any suggestion!
Any cards that aren’t flavorful and should be removed or cards I should add, share the below!

Like many others, when I first saw the spoiler for [[the sibsig ceremony]], I knew I had to make a deck for it. It’s such an interesting card design which we don’t see much of in most sets, and I love that it instantly makes you think about ways to max out its potential. After a great deal of playtesting and editing, I’m proud to show off a budget friendly secret commander deck which is incredibly fun to play.
For my commander, I decided to go with [[sidisi undead vizier]]. I thought that mono black would be a fun restriction, I wanted a tutor in the command zone so I didn’t have to find other ways to get the ceremony, and I thought she was very thematic. Plus, if you get the ceremony through other means, there’s plenty of other stuff you’ll want to tutor for later.
The game plan for this deck usually follows this path. Turns 1-4, you’ll be playing some cheaper enchantments, creatures, and ramp. Turn 4 or 5, you’ll exploit a creature and tutor for the Ceremony. Then you’ll play it and try to just get out as much value as you can off of creatures etbs/ltbs.
My favorite thing about this deck is that there are 3 different ways this deck can win. The first option is zombies. Play whatever creature you want, make a lot of zombies, play an enchantment which buffs them and go wide. If you get [[gravecrawler]], it turns into “pay 1 black, get 2/2” which is just really fun value. Next is theft/reanimate. With cards like [[afterlife from the loam]] [[sepulchral primordial]] and living death, you can just cover the board in strong bodies punch through. Finally there’s drain. This can come through aristocrat effects like [[bastion of remembrance]] or creatures with etb effects. The absolute goat of this section, and this deck entirely, is [[gray merchant of asphodel]]. This card is responsible for 75 percent of my wins, instantly bringing everyone down and giving you so much life. Worst part about him is that in comparison, nothing else feels as good to cast.
Because of its nature of being a secret commander, the Ceremony is definitely vulnerable to removal. It’s a little harder because it’s an enchantment, but you should still be prepared. To mitigate this, the best thing to do is just have a few turns so explosive that you go from zero threat to maximum, and if they remove the Ceremony it’s too late. Bargaining is another option, cuz come on, that doubling season over there looks way more threatening, doesn’t it? If all else fails, there’s a few quite bad recursion options, such as [[skull of orm]] but often you’ll just want to adjust your game plan on the fly.
A core part of this deck is knowing what to tutor for/what the best cards in your deck are. Like I mentioned earlier, Gary is probably one of the best picks. Gravecrawler is probably next, and then some form of recursion. [[oversold cemetery]] is super cheap and easy, and [[grave venerations]] does a bit of everything, with card draw and drain as well. Removal options are almost all tacked onto creatures, with cards like [[lamentation]] for spot, and [[massacre girl]] for mass. The biggest risk is that you really can’t respond at instant speed.
This deck sits at a nice high bracket 2 to 3, but can definitely be upgraded more. Better lands are a no brainer, urbog+coffers, and MDFCs would definitely help. More rituals to get out your commander early would be good as well, but balancing them and other cards is a little too finicky for my taste. A lot of the game changers would be good, especially necropotence. [[grave pact]] is great if you want no friends, since every creature you play is removal. [[massacre worm]] and both meathook massacres would also be nice. Finally, if you’re fine spending two hundred dollars, [[xiahou dun, the one eyed]] is the best enchantment recursion available, but I’d suggest just proxying him.
A final note, pricing is hard to tell, since I made this with a lot of cards I already owned, but you can definitely do it for under a hundred dollars. Few nonbasic lands and not many cards over 2 dollars really helps keep it cheap. Hope you enjoy the deck or are inspired to make your own version!
So after i pulled Witherbloom on prerelease yesterday, i spent my whole day off today cooking up a tutorless bracket 3 deck for my playgroup, and it has come down to 110 cards.
What in your opinion are the best 10 cuts i could make? Hearing your reasoning would also be of great help since im a fairly new player (started playing in january)
Thanks a lot in advance!
(ignore the sideboard, its all the cards i was considering for the deck but cut either because of budget reasons or because they seemed too good for the level im aiming for. torment of hailfire belongs to both.)
Currently trying to build my first ever homebrewed deck, based around this guy. My general goal is to build a deck based around feeding both my creatures and my opponents’ creatures into a big pile of rats to produce even more rats, and other useful benefits.
I was hoping for ideas for stuff I should take out/add in, and also general advice for making this idea run smoothly. In particular I think I’m a bit short on good ways to ramp.
Thanks!
