Best Volume~Volume+ long fights
Im talking fights that either are a majority of 1-2 volumes and are straight action. No cuts, no other shit going on, just X vs. Y.
Number 1 for me is Gojo vs. Sukuna. Everything about JJK was highlighted so well in this fight and it still is such a fucking ride to reread. Yeah the ending is dodgy but honestly who gives a shit. This was the absolute peak of Shounen for me and a subpar end may leave me sour, but the journey was just too amazing.
Number 2 is Chrollo vs. Hisoka. The most complicated fight i’ve ever read. After my first read it was kinda cool, but every time I crack open that volume I appreciate it so much more by understanding how well knit and just perfect this fight is. Togashi truly is a master of his craft. It’s a shame the anime will never see the best fight in the series.
Number 3, Joey vs. Marik. This one is a classic from my childhood. Reading the AMAZING art by Kazuki while seeing Joey pull his Samwise moment was a fucking ride. No shit he would lose, BUT THE FACT THAT JOEY PROVED HOW MUCH OF A FUCKING FRAUD MARIK WAS (asspull king before Sukuna), only to lose due to other circumstances. But him fighting through the pain the whole fight and ending it with that emotional fall was just…oh my god.
