looking at a 2018 Jeep Wrangler with 80k miles for $22k… just found out it was a rental before
Been considering a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, around 80k miles, priced at $22k. Car looks clean, drives fine, nothing obvious during the test drive.
Only thing is I just checked the history and it shows it was a rental for the first part of its life. After that it had one private owner.
Now I’m stuck on whether that’s a dealbreaker or not. I’ve heard rentals are maintained regularly, but also that people drive them pretty hard, especially something like a Wrangler.
Rest of the car seems fine which is why I’m still considering it, but I don’t want to ignore something that could come back later.
Would you avoid an ex-rental Wrangler completely or is it not as big of a deal as people make it out to be
