VENT ALERT- so tired of how expensive and time-consuming this process is

Just venting because I'm at my wit's end. New driver and I've spent so much time and money on research, pre-purchase inspections on cars I didn't end up buying, and carfax reports for dishonest, unresponsive , and unhelpful sellers. So tired of buying a carfax report for a car I am interested in because the seller never has one, asking questions about said car, and not getting an answer. Or finding something out at the pre-purchase inspection that the seller could've just been honest about and saved me $200. Feels like everyone else has way better luck or resources (family/connections, etc.) and can get decent cars for fair prices and I've been trying for almost a year to get a reliable, decent car at a fair price. Public transportation sucks where i am (I use it anyway) and I fill in the gaps with uber/lyft which is my big expense.

2018 Toyota Prius C Four for $10,500

Is that a good price for 143k miles? It's had 3 incidents of "minor damage reported" per carfax, 3 owners, and last time it was serviced was 2023. Looking for my first car and worried about mileage and battery stuff if it'll need to be replaced; carfax does not indicate that it was replaced. Thanks so much
