Hi everyone,
today I updated my BYD Seal AWD (version V2.1.4), and since then I’m having an issue with the AC system.

Basically, when I start the car and turn on AUTO mode (as I do every day), I can hear the compressor working and air being produced, but the vents seem to stay closed.

Before the update, in AUTO mode the air would come out normally from the windshield and foot area. Now nothing comes out at all, and no airflow direction seems to be selected.

It only works if I manually select the airflow toward the body and enable the smart vent mode. Otherwise, I can hear the air, but it doesn’t come out of the vents.

I already tried a system reset by holding the scroll wheel for 30 seconds and rebooting the screen, but it didn’t fix anything.

I contacted support and they told me to switch from ECO to Normal driving mode, but it was working perfectly fine in ECO until yesterday.

Has this happened to anyone else?
I’m based in Italy.

I've had our BYD Seal U for around 2 months but the QR code for linking the car to the BYD app hasn't shown up. We've visited the store multiple weeks ago to ask about it and they took our email and said it should show up in about two days but it never did. Is there any way to get the QR code to show up or should I go back to the BYD store to consult with the staff again?

I couldn't figure out what was updated. Has anyone information about it?

I am going to purchase the new byd atto 2 dm-i, as many of you know there is now google support on the byd infotainment, which means there is google maps, youtube and google play store preinstalled on the car.

online I couldn't see anyone signed in to his google account so no one shows what the play store has on it.

can anysend send a screenshot or something from the play store to see if its just a normal play store, restricted or maybe empty?

1 specific app is netflix, which I'm curious about.

I know there are some products like the carlinkit which will give me access to the same apps but I want to know if maybe I can use it natively.

At home the BYD app always shows weak network signal. (If I drive to another location it works) As a result I can never see the status on my car while it's charging or schedule heating etc.

On my phone I get 1 bar so signal is low but it works. I've tried restarting the infotainment system but that didn't have any effect.

I've connected the WiFi to my car at home but that didn't do anything - app still says weak network so I guess it doesn't use WiFi. :(

What options do I have to get this working? Will some king of signal booster help? Or am I stuffed?

Car is BYD Seal Excellence

Has BYD provided any guidance on whether it’s more harmful to charge the battery with continuous DC current, or does it not matter at all? People often say it’s better to charge it only up to 80%. Is there any official advice on this so that you can enjoy your car for a long time?

So i had a light accident where I got 2 flat tires and had to have my car towed. I brought my summer wheels to their service station as it was close to tire swapping season anyways and now have my summer wheels installed. My issue is that now that the TMPS alarm that showed up the moment my tire popped during the accident wont go away anymore and still shows a flat tire for both of them. The service station told me they re-assigned the wheels in system (which I doubt as they didnt even know what a BYD is). I read here on reddit that the Dolphin will auto-calibrate itself after a few kilometers however, this whole thing was like 3 weeks and 20-ish kilometers ago and I still get the flat tire alert every time I start the car. My dealer said it might need to be reset via the BYD Service Tablet but considering my dealer is 50km away, I'd like to avoid having to go there just for that. Any info would be appreciated

the sound volume for those various notification and/ or warning "beeps" that my BSL7 constantly makes, has up till now been fairly soft, moderate and at low volume.

Suddenly today it is full power! I jump in the seat every time it beeps.And I cannot for the life of me find out how to lower the volume of these sounds.

I need your help.

So if you know how to do this, please tell me. (if do not know for sure, then don't bother to step in with speculations and assumptions)

My wife and I have ordered an Atto 2 and I'm keen to transport our dogs in it. We have a Forester with a full cargo barrier in the boot, and was hoping there would be a similar accessory available for the Atto 2.

I'll be using the BYD to daily transport 1 dog to work. It's an hours drive and safety is my primary concern. I wish to avoid using the back seat and focus on either cargo barriers or suitable crates to minimise dog movement in the event of an accident or rollover.

I'd love to see what others have done - please share your experiences (and photos!).
