Makes me want to lower it. However I’m sure it will lose its versatility and scrape over everything

Been about a week. Love it so much. All around firecracker but still subtle.
Coming from a Mazdaspeed 3 the awd feel so good, you feel so confident off the line and in the wet. So easy to absolute blitz people off the light while not even trying. It’s also nice the wife can drive it in an emergency or something.
Has a few things to be fixed but otherwise, a gem i hope I’ll never part with.
Hey guys,
I just ordered a 2026 RS 3 that’s set to arrive in July. While I was finishing up with the dealer, I casually mentioned my plan to take it easy for the first 2,000 km before really giving it some heat.
To my surprise, the dealer told me that a break-in period isn't necessary anymore and that I can "pretty much fly out of the dealership" at full tilt.
This sounds... sketchy? Even with modern manufacturing tolerances, jumping straight to redline on a brand-new 5-cylinder feels like just wrong.
Did any of you get the same "no break-in needed" talk from your dealership? Are you following the manual’s traditional 1,500 km break-in, or did you just send it from day one?
Thanks!
Wanted to share these pictures on here as well.
The silver wheels just work so incredibly well with the brown in my opinion. Really considering switching to silver accents all around – especially after seeing a Daytona RS3 8Y on here that got the same treatment.

Where do you guys put your phone....
The design either is over my head or f****** retarded
A while ago I actually made a post about cross-shopping between the Audi RS3 & Golf R. I ended up getting the Golf R & I certainly did not regret my decision. It’s been nearly a year on the dot since I’ve owned the Golf R & I couldn’t be happier. Something was missing, though. So, I got the RS 3 as well.

Hey guy's
I currently am blessed to own a 2023 8Y Audi RS3 Sedan perfectly specced, straight from the Audi Dealership with 5 years new car warranty currently sitting around 25,000kms - I love the car in every way except the stock sound. I put a valve controller on to scratch the itch but it didn't accomplish the amount of work i was expecting it to. i'm not worried about the performance or how quick it is, if it was quicker cool, if not i'm still happy, it just sounds too quiet and not what it should sound like.
I'm from Australia so the emissions and regulations regarding noise here is fucking insane.
Do i stay stock and just leave it be? I don't plan to sell the car in the future, maybe when i have children but that's years away.
Or do i bite the bullet and run a stage 1-2, throw a downpipe in and wake up the car?
maybe an exhaust is all i am needing? I was told stock exhaust with valves open is good.
What are the actual good genuine benefits of staging the car, outside of horsepower and sound gains? Will maintenance become a lot more redundant? as it's my daily car, i was urged that if i want a better sounding car and adding a downpipe i need to tune the car otherwise there's no point.
I'm not too worried about selling, so i don't mind warranty loss being as big of an issue as the longevity and health of the car long term.
what would you guys do?
What’s up guys? last weekend, I took delivery of my first ever Audi, a 2026 RS3. I traded in my 2024 Golf R, which I’d had for a little more than 2 and a half years. I‘ve had a bunch of BMWs, MINIs, VWs, and Porsches (and Ducatis 😎) over the last 20 years, but never an Audi. Seemed like a good time to try one, since I’ve always been interested in the brand generally and the RS3 specifically.
This car will be my daily driver going forward - my fun car is a 718 Spyder RS. 😋 We are DINK, so some of the practical considerations a lot of folks have to deal with aren’t present for me and the wifey.
I really like it so far - definitely has more grunt than the Golf R and I can appreciate the longer and lower slung feeling as well. The Golf R was a nice little car, but I was often frustrated with going through so many menus to change the driving modes or A/C controls. Those adjustments are so quick in the Porsche, but felt laborious in the Golf by comparison. The RS3 has a nice blend of physical buttons and touchscreen, and I feel like I can get going so much faster. It’s a big improvement. The car also seems more stable, especially at speed, where the Golf R would sometimes feel a bit unsettled in comparison. I’m also a fan of the seats, which are reasonably supportive while also being more comfortable. The car also feels really well made, as the doors are chunky and have a great heft to them. The matrix LED lights are also the best headlights I’ve ever had in a car, and the touches with unlocking / locking are also a lot of fun. It’s such a great all arounder.
I did like the Golf R’s steering feel a bit better - it’s awfully light in the RS3, in comparison - and the physical aspects of the steering wheel itself were better too. The RS3 wheel is thin - modern ///M cars have steering wheels that are way too thick, but this is a bit thin for me. The Golf R‘s was a nice middle ground. The RS3 is also a bit quiet for my linking - I need more of that amazing 5 pot’s noise - so I‘ll be looking into options in the coming weeks and months.
I am also a bit confused with the RS badging - some examples in the car reflect the new design, some are the old design. Seems a bit lazy on Audi’s part - just pick one and go with it. I think I like the old style better, which might be another thing I end up changing.
But overall, happy with the purchase. I can see why this segment has such a dedicated following. 😋
Went from supra to Rivian to this! Been driving it for a grand total 30 minutes and I love it!
Can obdeleven be used or any other options to give this asterisk button more functionality other than the default options? If you could set this button to anything what would you make it?
Looking at the rs3 as my next car upgrade, but a 2022+ 8Y is currently a bit of a stretch on out the door price. I'm seeing 2017-19 8Vs in my mileage range (under 40k miles), and below my budget ceiling at 50k.
Would it be worthwhile to wait a bit more building cash down, and for 2022s to come down a bit to hopefully that range while market hunting? Or is the impending discontinuation going to eat any potential price drops I get, and I'm better off pulling the trigger on a 2018-19?
Is it possible to force both valves open without buying a valve controller? Maybe by unplugging them or via some sort of coding. I have the OBDeleven ultimate.
I would like both to be open simultaneously all the time and not just above 3500 rpm.
Has anyone done this?
stuck between two RS3 daza.
Both are the same price. Neither have PPF. which would you pick and why.
Hello!
I've had my eyes on an Audi RS3 - though they are proving a bit hard to find as I'm thinking of only going for the Daytona Grey Pearl. The other grey feels too blue, white feels too bland, and while I love Black the lesson I learned from my Camaro is that you can't keep it clean; especially with Washington pollen and rain. I've been watching a lot of review videos and it seems like everyone really likes them overall. A automatic with a little higher MPG (gas prices and all) for increasing commute traffic (Greater Seattle Area) sounds really nice, and I should probably do the right thing and get a 4 door as I do have two kids (We do have a 2024 Chevy Traverse & a 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, but still).
Currently I have a 2016 Chevy Camaro 2SS - 6.2L v8, Metallic Midnight Black, Sunroof, Dual-Mode Exhaust, Manual. I think the KBB is around $22k-$27k? Yes it is paid off.
Alternatively I could just go all in on the high MPG automatic sedan and get a Toyota Camry. I just love driving and I don't know if I will end up miserable going from a Camaro to a Camry. Ignore this part. It was a side thought that is being factored in too literally.
What do you all think I should do? Should I deal with gas prices and commutes and just hold onto the Camaro? Thoughts on the Audi RS3 for a good replacement to my Camaro? Should I hold off for something coming in 2027?
