I mean, a lot of Arc's features deserve appreciation, the fact that we have spaces at all, but this little player is just sooo handy.

Finally made the jump to Zen - anyone else ?

Caved in..
Finally joined Dia after over 4 years on Arc. Few things I instantly miss so far:
- Little Arc / tiny window for quick searches
- Being able to type a website like YouTube, hit *tab which allows you to search within YouTube or Reddit, etc. - this is such an essential feature that I wish they bring back. Within context or speedy workflows, this is a game-changer
- Workspaces - just... why take away?
- Cleaning up tabs - not the auto-delete feature, but the "sweeping" animation that auto-sorts all of your tabs. On days that I open a couple dozen tabs for saving later, this was so helpful in organizing and being to close out groups if I was done with them.
Anyways, hoping that these things are reinstated and I'd be happy to take any suggestions on workflow upgrades from Arc that I don't know about yet, or any other resources/channels that give some deep workflow guides on Dia. I had joined at the initial launch but it was missing too many essentials at the time, so I uninstalled within an hour. So I don't have previous newsletters/updates to go off of.
Welp.. here's to hopefully building a cool browser and keeping it around this time.

Arc update nuked everything
Lates update installed, all my sessions, logins, extensions etc are all gone...
Been using Arc since the dawn of time, and had no complaints and even after they discontinued, it's been good enough to use, but damn this is annoying
Has anyone had this before, is it possible to restore back?
Any other browser recommendations, with sidebar, chrome sidebar is dogshit

unavailable region (IOS)
Hey, I have iPhone 8 Plus with IOS 16, before I used Arc on my iPhone XR with IOS 17.
In moment Arc disappear from Apple App Store, if I enter link to Arc in Apple Store appears an error of unavailable region (Screenshot).
Text on screenshot: This app is currently not available in your country or region
What can I do with that? Changing region in settings don’t help with that problem

arc not even opening anymore on windows
basically just what the title says, I'm not quite sure what's causing it I have windows updated fully and I have recently done the arc update. it's honestly really disappointing because I've been using the browser for over 3 years and its exam season so I don't really have the time to learn Vivaldi or other good alternatives. for now I'm stuck using Edge for a bit because at least it has good vertical tabs without needing extensions lol. is anyone else having this problem?

Latest update on Windows breaks the app [SOLUTION]
Yeah, my Arc got a new update the other day and since then The app will not display websites, and will not even start anymore. Have tried re-installing, uninstalling and installing again, but the error persists/comes back.
The solution currently working for me was to install an older version using the terminal tool winget. I believe winget is installed on all Windows machine by default. You can use it by opening a terminal window like Windows Terminal, cmd, or PowerShell.
Show available version of Arc: winget show TheBrowserCompany.Arc --versions
Install a specific version of Arc: winget install TheBrowserCompany.Arc --version 1.103.0.239
So far the version above works for me on Windows 11.

Arc suddenly froze after I did a split screen of two GMail tabs (which I frequently do) and caused a sudden pike in memory pressure (from low-medium yellow to high, almost red). I can't navigate or even force quit Arc so I need to hard reset my laptop.
I'm in a bit of a panic because Arc is my primary browser and I really need my tabs for work.

For the last 2/3 days, some of my extensions seem to have stopped working :
uBlock Origin Lite : I can’t access the settings. The extension’s gear icon isn’t responding.
TWP Translate : Page translations are either missing, broken, or only partially translated.
Question : Are you experiencing this too ?

I moved back to Chrome and immediately felt the gap. Chrome 146 added vertical tabs behind a flag, but no workspaces, no cross-device sync, nothing that lets you context-switch between projects.
I'd been building a navigation extension anyway, so this was a natural addition (although plenty of work to get it to feel right).
The part I'm most surprised actually works well: cross-device sync with no separate account. There workspaces are just there and feel like they would come with the browser. Routes through Chrome's built-in sync (no separate servers, no telemetry, no new accounts, nothing to sign up for!!).
Theres also additional things I use daily: Alt+K command bar searches e.g. open tabs, bookmarks, history and workspaces. Shift+click any link for a peek preview. If I wreck a workspace, I can restore from up to 50 snapshots covering about 4 hours of history.
Multi-window works too: each Chrome window can run its own workspace.
Launched the first version about 7 weeks ago. v1.1.0 went live April 24.

Different Workspaces just don't work. I had set-up a college profile and a personal profile. One random day a year back, the college profile just stopped working. Only my personal profile works. I have tried logging out of all profiles and just using my college profile, made a profile with all my sign-in using a friend's personal email as well. However, it is only able to load my personal profile and only the websites with this email id.
It ends up heating up my Mac as soon as I open more than 3-4 tabs. As soon as I open 3-4 tabs for extended periods, it starts heating up my mac and draining batter. This is genuinely irritating, I used brave as my college browser as arc just refused to load up my college email profiles. However, now it is refusing to fulfil my personal browsing needs also. If I plan to watch a few youtube videos later and keep them open on arc, my laptop immediately starts heating up and it starts draining battery.
The only reason I am still using it is because of Little arc, easy split screening and the nice UI. Genuinely looking for solutions to this if I am using it wrong in any way. Please let me know if you guys have been able to fix this. Genuinely love this browser and am looking to use it more. But at this point it is becoming more and more irritating to use it.
