Where can I buy empanadillas or Argentinian empanadas in bulk, that are good and cheap?

I saw them for an average of 3 euros and I'd like to pay less than that in the alicante town.

I really don't mind buying empanadillas or empanadas in the Argentinian style.

Siempre funciona asi?

How do English speakers find day to day life in Alicante?

Hey everyone! I'm seriously considering moving to Alicante and would love some honest insight from people who live or have lived there.

My Spanish is still pretty basic. I am actively learning and plan to keep at it, but realistically, it'll take time before I'm comfortable in everyday situations.

So, I am curious how manageable it is to get by with English at shops, with landlords, at the doctor, dealing with bureaucracy, etc.

is there a decent expat or English-speaking community? Are there meetups, language exchanges, or social scenes where English is common?

This one matters a lot to me for the long run. Are there English cinemas, book clubs, comedy nights, or anything like that? I understand that learning Spanish is part of the deal, and I'm fully on board. But for long-term quality of life, having some English-language culture and entertainment around me would make a real difference.

Would love to hear from people who made the move. what surprised you, what was harder than expected, and anything you wish you'd known beforehand.

Thank you!

Proposal Spot

Hi everyone,
I am going to Alicante and Xabia with my girlfriend in two weeks and plan on proposing to her there.
Does anyone know of a secluded spot in nature, possibly overlooking the ocean?
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I'll be in Alicante from May 7th to May 11th and I'm trying to get a realistic idea of the weather.
Forecasts say it should be warm and sunny, but a love to hear from locals or people currently there.
How does it actually feel during the day and in the evening? Is it already warm enough for the beach and swimming, or is the sea still too cold? Also, is it usually windy around this time?
Any advice on what to pack (light clothes, jacket, etc.) would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi!

We are going on a 4 day trip to Alicante. We are in 5 guys group, and we wonder if there is anything that we could do besides being on a beach in Alicante?

Maybe some near towns/cities worth seeing?

edit: we will be there at the end of June, which club, activities you suggest?

Any good flamenco bars/ places to recommend? There’s a lot on get your guide but quite keen to know if any locals would recommend a specific place? Not too bothered about having a fancy dinner or big spectacle, just good vibes etc.

Hi all,

I’m meeting a friend and we’re doing the Santa pole - Alicante half marathon route.

I’m looking for recommendations of bars that do ice cold/ frozen glasses beers. I’m sure there are loads but wondered if anyone had any recommendations

Hello fellow alicanters. I am curious if there are people who would like to go to Ibiza like every now and then? I am thinking of creating a group so we can go, party, enjoy the island, and make good friends and connections. If we get a small group, we could split the costs for the car and house/boat rentals. Let me know what you think I can create a WP group)

I'm not in my twenties and tend to run cold, so I want to be warm, but I only got a small luggage allowance thinking I wouldn't need much for 5 days. What kind of thing is suitable to wear at night to stay warm in mid May? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm flying to Alicante on the 13th of May.

Will be renting a villa for few weeks in Cumbre Del Sol, is there like a service where someone can cook and deliver home made meals?

There will be 8 people so no one really wants to cook or hire a personal chef :)

Please can someone recommend something :)
